Have you thought about becoming a Gaia Ambassador? (Learn More...) Our Ambassadors are community leaders who help Gaia Community, and its members, to grow and flourish, connect and dream. They help others feel at home here, and encourage them to be the change they wish to see. They invite friends (and strangers) who they think might appreciate, and contribute to, the energy. They're committed to being a beacon of love, service and enthusiasm, both online and out in their own communities. In short, they're quintessential Gaia members who've offered to be of service on the site. As part of our Ambassador application process, we ask our lovely members a few questions. Check out the amazing responses! What do you love most about Gaia Community?What does "being the change" mean to you? How are you being the change *you* wish to see?Being the change means walking the walk. The kind of change I aim to be is through sustainability. I recycle (plastic, paper, bottles, clothes), I buy local, I buy green, I exercise, I’m vegetarian, I read the Dhammapada, I live by the golden rule, I thinkarete. Another positive move I have made in my life is finding a full time job (with benefits! whoohooo!) at a place I can feel good about working at. Whole Foods. This is the first time I have found a job that is in line with my values. The fact that I’m working to support fair trade, organic and local products is another way I’m “being the change.” I feel kinda dorky telling you about my new job, but you have no idea how happy I am to have found such a good job! I’m from Michigan, so an opportunity like this doesn’t come a long very often! What's your personal philosophy or purpose? This is the most wonderful place to connect with people who care. People here care and understand and share a need to be the best they can be. To exceed the ordinary. I love the people I work with here. My friends I have made.
