Gaia Now Available on the New Apple TV

We are excited to announce that Gaia is now available on Apple TV. It has been our most requested app, and with the most recent changes from Apple we are finally able to bring it to you.

The Gaia Apple TV app is available on the new 2015 Apple TV. If you are currently a subscriber, simply download the app (be sure to search for "Gaia") and login with your username and password. You’ll have access to our entire library of videos and your playlist. Plus if you start watching a video somewhere else, like your laptop, you’ll be able to pick up right where you left off on your TV.

Our Apple TV app also features great filters for yoga and fitness content, allowing you to filter by teacher, level, style and duration, making it quick and easy to find the right practice.

For members with older versions of the Apple TV, you can still watch all your favorite Gaia videos on your device using Airplay.

We are very excited to bring you this great new app on Apple TV, and we’ll be working hard to keep improving the experience on all of our apps. Watch for great new features and functionality coming throughout 2016.

I just bought an apple tv 4th generation. I was so happy to be able to view gaim tv on my television, but when I downloaded the app, and signed into my account, I found a total white screen where my playlist should be. I clicked on my playlist, and all that was there was a white screen. To add to this quandry, I can add something to my playlist, but I can't see it there when I go to my playlist screen.
Need assistance!

I always opt for Closed Captioning but it never works; I have the new AppleTV. Amazon has an option you can choose to ALWAYS use CC, but when one goes to "Settings" in Gaia, there is no mention of CC. I know how to use it in Gaia, but I'm saying is that it doesn't work. Pls make an option in Settings so that we may opt for CC overall, i.e., always ON (and make it actually work). Please. Thank you.

I lost Amazon Fire and Android tablet support and now my two Apple with this me Gaiam release. My newer but outdated apple units are not current enough to take advantage of the revised system programming. VERY VERY disappointed with Gaiam and backward compatibility to older subscribers sand equipment. This is a screw folks - I am feeling a subscription renewal that is subject to great scrutiny! No JOY GAIAM!!!

I have a Nexus 7 Tablet and Apple TV (Model A1469). This is the 3rd generation (of four St the time of this message). That means the majority of Apple TV market is on prior versions and not the very latest. Maybe the 4th generation Apple TV has some improvements but there should definitely be a way to stream to a 3rd generation. This is a good example of what happens as a result of this slick marketing thing actually created by Apple (infamous iPhone models, all 9 in just 9 years) does to the consumer.

It inclines them to thinking their hardware is no good or otherwise obsolete and others are in cahoots with it. These companies can then blame other sectors (ie. Our devs! Our developers cannot possibly do it!) Followed by an almost inevitable "upgrade" sooner than the consumer imagined when they whipped out that credit card.

I've tried using All cast & AllConnect with nothing but errors. Apparently Apple has a way you can beam the "cast" to Apple TV called AirPlay but it's designed for Apple hardware too. Apple has no consideration for those who will one day switch ecosystems. That's why they developed DRMs, but I digress.

Somehow there's a way, today, to stream Gaia, be it from a web browser or Gaia's App for Android, to an Apple TV 3rd generation or before. I sense there is a way, anyhow. Would someone kindly advise if they've solved the problem?

How long do you anticipate the fix will take?

Completely bizzare Apple won't let this on the older versions. The technology is there. All about the money. Buy the next version is all i hear from companies over and over and over. It's tired now.

Thanks for writing! While it's not yet possible for us to expand our Gaia app to previous generations on Apple TV, we do hope to have this availability expanded in the future. Watch our site for updates:

I just bought an Apple TV last summer, but apparently it's the 3rd generation. Is this one too old?

I have a second generation AppleTV and have been waiting for this app for what feels like forever. Will the older AppleTV ever be supported? I won't be buying the new version because it has a passive listening feature and I prefer my privacy. Many of your subscribers would probably agree…

I also have a 2nd generation Apple TV and have the same question: will this older edition also be supported? That would be such great news!
