Jean Shinoda Bolen
A Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, Jean Shinoda Bolen, M.D., is an internationally renowned Jungian analyst and clinical professor of psychiatry at the University of California at San Francisco.
The author of thirteen books, Dr. Bolen emphasizes the quest for meaning and the need for a spiritual dimension in life. As an advocate for women, women's issues, and ethics in psychiatry, she has been featured in three acclaimed documentaries, including the Academy-Award winning anti-nuclear proliferation film ?Women - For America, For the World.? She currently serves as a diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a recipient of the Institute for Health and Healing?s ?Pioneers in Art, Science, and the Soul of Healing Award.?
She is a former board member of the Ms. Foundation for Women.
