Sweet Sanctuary in the Heart of Busy LA

I have been practicing yoga for several years, and have always done a lot of studio hopping, until at last I discovered my yoga home-away-from-home in Liberation Yoga on La Brea (south of Beverly).  I love, love, love, love, love this studio!!!  They offer a wide variety of classes, so there is something for everyone (I'm partial to the flow classes, myself), and all of the instructors with whom I've practiced are excellent and very experienced.  Liberation is an intimate, cozy, sacred space (there's even a garden studio!) with a wonderful community feeling.  And, thanks to owners Christine and Gary (as well as the instructors and students), a loving, joyous energy permeates the entire atmosphere, which is truly a sanctuary in the middle of busy LA.

In addition to all this, Liberation always has a lot of interesting events and workshops going on….Check the website for details!

    Namaste,
    Beth

    Well Rounded

I consider myself well rounded when it comes to fitnes. I'm over 50 and I can honestly say that in each decade of my life I have added a new fitness agenda to my routine. Here's example in my teens I was Martial Arts practisioner. In fact I got my first Black Belt at 13 in Judo. In my twenties, I got into Transendental Meditation, and jogging. I ran my first marathon in midtwenties. I always remained persueing in the Martial Arts. I got second Black belt in Tai Kwon do at 26. In my 30's I got heavly into weight lifting. Incorporating bodybuilding martial arts and traditional boxing training. I was wearing a suit of amor but I was humble and still are. In my 40's added a little more to the mix Like 50 pushups a day the moment I wake up.. In my 50's I have incorporated  Yoga into my life to give me more flexiblity and Chi training to control my energy within . So in my 50's I still flaunt a six pack and well developed chest and back, shapely shoulder that tie into my triceps nicely and 1200 hundred pound leg press.
But owe alot of this shapely perportion to my yoga training and meditation
