Shamanic Shift Center

I've been a friend of this Center for a lot of years. I receive email, and have visited the Center on many occasions. And Liz and I have been friends for more years than the Center has existed! I love stones, especially from Lake Michigan, and Liz has decorated her space with many of them, along with other objects that remind me of our created world. Comfortable pillows and rugs circle the room. People come for “Circles” on a regular basis, and are welcome to see Liz for counseling in any area of life. The website keeps people in touch with her and each other, offering suggestions on  common concerns, and gathering and passing on comments.

Liz has done great things for everyone she meets through Companions Circle. From the lost neighborhood dog dragging a leash to those that need a counselor or coach, Liz has the touch.

The Rev. Elizabeth ('Liz' to a few in the Milwaukee circles - or anyone who just prefers to call her 'Liz') shows anyone sent by Spirit and the Spirits a contemporary, innovative, individualized shamanic way to BE and keep questing on.  A visitor to Shamanic Shift Center might at first wonder how much Elizabeth knows about shamanics because her appoach is subtle, spirit-guided, gradual, and centered around what each guest presents.  

Elizabeth does not offer just a re-do of Foundation for Shamanic Studies style 'core shamanism' or any of the 'traditional' shamanisms that are growing in popularity these days, even though over many years of practice she has attended plenty of shamanic and other spiritual or personal growth workshops presented by experts from the workshop circuit.  

Someone must stick around and stay a awhile to get the full effect of Elizabeth's adapted and innovated teachings.  Still, a single visit might shift someone just enough, even if those changes just seem to happen later during the due course of life unfolding.  Elizabeth begins shamanizing before the consultation and continues thereafter around whatever the concern or challenge is. 

At the same location is Companions Circle's Roadscrossing SOUL Clinic project for supportive counseling, information and referral, and advocacy for anyone in the neighborhood especially anyone without insurance coverage.  This counseling is more conventional and self-help centered and may or may focus upon spiritituality or religion, according to the needs presented by each visitor.  No matter what, this general counseling is non-sectarian and not specifically shamanic.

All Shamanic Shift Center's and  Companions Circle's shamanic and counseling consultations are non-profit, offered on an 'affordable, spirit-moved' donation basis, and this is kept possible by Elizabeth donating most of the income from ordinary reality everyday jobs in property management and freelance writing and whatever she can do and get hired for.  Customized ceremonial officiating (such as marriage, space-blessing, and rites of life transition) is offered for an hourly fee/donation, except for funeral assistance which is offered on a donation basis.  

I am in the oldest circle which is now dispersed in space-time but still meets in non-ordinary reality on an ongoing basis in support of Shamanic Shift Center's and Companions Circle's projects and programs, including The Rev. Elizabeth's consultations and counseling. Getting together in cyber-reality has proved to be harder than we envisioned when some of us began blogging a couple years ago.  So our circle's web presence here and elsewhere is still sporadic. 

Certainly as a companion of Shamanic Shift Center's circle(s) I must be strongly biased in favor.  But still I do not believe my 5 star rating is inaccurate or puffed up all that much.

…and I am now at a loss for words because she didn't leave much for me to add!  Teal and I are on old odd couple of hermits who support Shamanic Shift Center's mission by shamanizing daily at our distance a  ways to the West.  I visit often through shamanic travel but seldom in spacetime nowadays.

I hear that a smiling birch mask I made a while ago is still displayed in a northern window there.  Shamanic Shift Center is a much of a sacred space for fun restoration as it is for shamanic shifting.

Shamanic Shift Center would be easy for many to overlook…because even though the approach to shamanizing is contemporary, there is no high-tech or complex 'packaged deal' program to buy.  One must hang-out for a while to get it.  And getting it might be gradual and subtle. 

If someone shows up and appears to 'know it all' or obviously needs to expound upon their 'shamanism' Elizabeth might just sit there while that expert (or 'expert') gos on a while about whatever, and allow anyone there to get the impression she herself knows little or next to nothing about any shamanisms.  But when Elizabeth gets enthused in teaching shamanic ways it is a bit like having a surgeon slice off the top of my head and stir my brain around and around.       

I also recommend Elizabeth for unofficious marriage or union officiating and other ceremonializing.  She led a beautiful, simple, profound home blessing and dedicating for my family years ago which deepened my understanding of Spirit and enhanced my relationships with mant spirits of the house and yard and neighborhood.

Now our circle is everywhere or anywhere.  The Shamanic Shift Center sanctuary in Milwaukee WI is an original play of art.
