Maybe some background logic which would allow you to link users who think their having an original idea when they type “the tao te ching” or “dao de shing” to the phrase to “tao te ching”. (i.e. exclusion of articles when joining ideas, matching abbreviations to possible names - mlk to Martin Luther King, jfk to John F. Kennedy, etc… (heroes, teachers), hardcoding common misspellings (Goethe vs Gertah, Van Gogh vs vango etc.)). In a simple way this functionality could be use to duplicate Google's “Did you mean…?” function.
You could use the pre and beta periods to develop a nice thesaurus which could eventually be community run.
