Thanks for the love and understanding Jason. These few digital photos are pretty much the only tangible things I have of him and they and the experience mean a lot to me. He lived the last 7 years of his life feeling his son and daughter abandon him and the shame he took on was enormous. I am ashamed and hurt that I let my closest mate go for so long feeling that way. It is a grand lesson for me in really communicating what I am doing.. its one of the biggest reasons why I have maybe overcompensated with communication because of the misunderstandings and loss I have felt. His last spoken words were “i love you… take care of each other”… so.. take care… and remember who you love.
