Another way to do this would be to have a little changeable smilie face on our profile page that we could change at will. It could even be more fun if you include all sorts of icons that could be used to express ourselves that day, such as a little cat face, a test tube, a tree, or whatever. It might inspire some real creativity!
I really like that idea. And it could also be integrated with the calander to provide multiple dimensions to users' moods and emotions. Another interesting feature would be to also integrate this with the blog system such that people can sometimes explain why they feel the way they did at some time in the past.
I've thought for a very long time that such a thing would be quite useful in my life. Several key elements could be logged, such as Energy Level, Happieness, Mental Agility, Memory, Stamina, Patience. A person could rate themselves from one to ten on each and look at a graph eventually that might make patterns evident. Something like reverse bio-rhythms. You could even pick the elements you wanted to keep track of. I wonder if anything like this exists, yet?
Flynn, such an application would be interesting if you could correlate it with a journal. You could look for the peaks and troughs and see if there are any common events or practices that precede or accompany them.
