To simplify and ease instant messaging, use Jabber and Internet standard Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol. Those with Macs can then merely fire up iChat to connect with Zaadz’ instant messaging host. Everyone else can use gAIM or their instant messenger of choice.
All Zaadz need do is maintain a registry of friends (integrated with FOAF) and show it in our Jabber buddy lists.
