group calender is a great idea
…but not just an ordinary online calendar. I already have a dozen of those. Instead, create a socially networked calendar that can export and import from other websites and desktop apps using syndication and iCalendar feeds like Kiko and 30 Boxes, and with rich event semantics and interfaces like Eventful. Then enrich it with Open ID, friend of a friend, microformats, and invitations like Kvite or Evite so people need not create logins to reply and rsvp.
