I guess seeing as though you’ve signed up to this idea as well, that you know what I’m talking about, lol.Only had to say that because I’m not even sure if this is what it’s called, so let me clarify what I had in mind:

People may forget or just don’t bother to add tags to their blog posts and photo’s, etc.So I was wondering if there is a way to somehow scan a blog post, checking the frequency a word is used, and then when a word shows up x number of times then automatically tag it.My thinking is that the frequency with which a word is used, often determines what the blog is about.

Also could you scan the blogs and then whenever a particular word shows up, ie: ‘Commitment’ then that is automatically tagged. The words that you deem necessary to be tagged would be a central decision and not down to the individual blogger.

This in itself is a philosophical discussion, and that is assuming it is even possible.Centrally picking the words you wish to have tagged when they arise, powers home our (those who ‘get it’) mission. However I think that needs to be balanced with what it is people are actually talking about.Of course they most likely will be talking about changing things for the better, etc, and therefore things will match up perfectly.

Choosing which words are to be tagged automatically will advance that core message, and fade out the type of blogs that are of no benefit (they won’t ‘spread’).
However the benefit of tagging just whatever appears the most frequently sure would help in the evolution of the community.Sure the head honcho’s here are bright people, but personally I see no better way of evolving and prospering than by using the collective’s power.

I suppose the question is: Do you know it all?

Personally I can quite comfortably say that I don’t, but I’ve got a ‘good idea’ ;)
I like to be on the leading edge, but I’m not naive. It’s about finding that delicate balance between allowing people to express themselves freely while encouraging them to express the best of themselves. How tagging is implemented will have a great impact in this area.
