Gang?
Big news first. If you've not been keeping up with his blog, you might have missed that
Brian just announced his
engagement to
Alexandra (remember when he posted about having fallen in love a few months ago? He was serious).
Can I get a *happy dance*? :)
He's shared the story of how they met—including Alexandra's intuition about their connection—
here, so go ahead and leave a note of congratulations. (Don't be surprised if you don't hear back for a bit, though; the two of them are on a pre-honeymoon trip through India.)
Brian's not the only one, though; we've got another Zaadz marriage to announce.
Caitlin met her soon-to-be-husband on Zaadz earlier this year. They fell in love on the site, and James moved from Texas to Australia to be with her. Their wedding is planned for December 30th, so mark your calendars for a toast at the end of the month.
For those of you still looking, we (at long last!) have a match feature in the works. (No, we're not going to turn into a dating site; we're just hoping to make it easier for those of you who are meant to be together--romantically or otherwise--to find each other.) Just bookmark the
Team blog, and we'll be out with more details soon.
If you've been keeping an eye on that list of sponsors on the right of the site, you might have noticed the
SenseAble cards. (Think Magic 8 Ball meets Rorschach meets Brian Eno's Oblique Strategies.)
Pete Middleton, their creator, has just come up with another brainchild: the notion of a 'reverse Advent Calendar.' I think it's a brilliant idea—instead of taking something from the calendar each day, you put something of delight
into it. He's looking for contributions to create one for a local hospice (have a look on his
blog!), but you might want to share a similar idea in your family.
You also might want to welcome
Gary Gach, a Buddist author and poet who's just started blogging on the site. He's currently working on a book on spirituality and film (instead of religion and film), and his journal is already providing a great glimpse into his process.
Then there's
Jackson.
Jackson?
Yes! Remember our post a long while back--the one that involved looking for a new art director? Well, we found him. (He applied for the position on his year-long anniversary as a Zaadzster, btw.) You can check out his profile
here, and read his
first entry on his excitement about helping us with a new look and feel--not to mention making the site a little (or a lot?) easier to navigate.
And.. last but not least, there's a little update on the Seeds System
here.
To new love, new ideas, and new members of the Zaadz crew...
Siona and the rest of the
Zaadz TeamPS. I hope you're all staying warm! (After three years in California I'm having a bit of a time getting used to the Colorado winters.) If you're someplace chilly, go make yourself a cup of tea and take a little time to take care of you... and if you're someplace mild, well, go soak up some sun for all of us here in the Northern climes. :)
