Everyone?
If you've been on the site over the past month or two, you'll know that tomorrow is going to be big.
Tomorrow, January 15th, is the date that Zaadz will be evolving into the Gaia Community. What does this mean? If you'd like the longer version, you might explore the
Gaia Community pod for some reflections. The
Team blog, too, includes our story, and a bit about what this emergent community means—as well as an ongoing conversation with both new and old members. In short, though, after tomorrow you'll find that Zaadz's seed has blossomed into Gaia: we'll have a new name, and a new look and feel, and a renewed dedication to, well... being the change.
Exciting. :)
What does this mean to you, as a Zaadzster? What will change? In most ways, nothing. You'll still log in using the same email and password combination as before. Your profile and friends lists will remain the same. We'll have the same quotes and books and newsletters and pods. The incredible people who make this community what it is will still be here. And those of us on the
Team will hold to our own commitment of being our authentic selves, and to contributing all that we are to this place.
And in some ways, everything. It means an invitation to come create something incredible. It means a call to participate (once more) in setting the intention of this space. It meansa reminder to ask those very questions that sparked Zaadz to begin with. What do you most want from your life? What do you want to discover, and what do you want to give? What is your calling? What are your greatest strengths, and how do you bring them not just to this community, but to the world as a whole?
Remember?
So come be the change. Come be you. We're all here to inspire and empower you to discover your greatest potential so that you can see that same brilliance in others... and in doing so, change the world.
(And we know... change, even of the most positive sort, is never easy. If you've got any concerns, or questions, or worries, please please please let us know. You can write back here, or chime in on the
Team blog, or weigh in on the
Gaia pod. What's most important, after all, is that you speak from your heart.)
Here's to seeing the opportunity that comes with change, to meeting new futures with love and with openness, and, most of all, to keep showing up with authenticity and compassion and care.
Siona,
and the rest of the (eee!)
Gaia Team PS. One practical note? This'll be the last letter you get from a zaadz.com address (unless, I suppose, you write to me and ask for a note from my old account. ;). Your next newsletter'll be from 'voices@gaia.com'... so to keep receiving these notes, make sure you add that account to your address book.
PPS. It'll take a bit for Gaia to hatch, so we're anticipating that the site will be down for a bit on Tuesday. And, we'd also love your help in the coming week with any areas that still need a bit of work; while Gaia's been fine for us she might get a little shakey when thousands log in. So be patient with your first visit, and let us know, and thank you thank you thank you thank you for being a part of all this. Talk about changing (into) the world. :)
