Siona here.
I love giving things away, especially to Zaadz members. (No surprise there. :) This time we've got something wonderful:
free Sunday admission to the Yoga Walk & Global Mala Project in Los Angeles.
All you need to do is
click here to RSVP.
What's the
Yoga Walk & Global Mala Project? You mean you haven't heard??
Imagine... two days of live music, hourly lectures, yoga classes, workshops, organic food, and yogis from around the world. And this isn't the half of it.
This year,
Yoga Walk is hosting LA's
Global Mala event, a gathering of 108 yoga studios, 1,008 teachers, and over 10,000 people for a 12 hour ritual festival for peace. The funds raised will go to such causes as global warming, AIDS, and Children Refugees of War. The event is happening this coming weekend at the
Los Angeles Convention Center, South Hall K, and you're invited. (In fact, you're more than just invited. Your participation is crucial.)
Here's the scoop.
The doors open on Saturday at 10am, when The Global Mala Project will feature:
* Michael Bernard Beckwith of Agape International
* Sheila Chandra
* Jai Uttal
* Yoga Trance Dance with Shiva Rea & DJ Cheb I Sabbah
Sunday continues with live musical performances from:
* Naked Rhythm
* DJ Baba G (Soundz of the Asian Underground)
* Dan The Automator (produced debut album for the Gorillaz)
And there'll be lectures both days on the hour, every hour, from 11am - 6pm: Alfonso De Rose, Mary Lee Patton, Dr. Brian Clement, Kat James, Deborah King, Margie LeRoux, Zendo Kern, Keith Richardson, Dick Larson, Bridget Hansard, Stuart Tomc, Robert Morgen, Michael J. Herman, and Jackie Lapin will all be speaking over the course of the weekend.
Again, if you'd like to get on the free guestlist for Sunday (thank
Yoga Walk for extending this treat to Zaadz members!!) just
click here. Or, if you'd like to come for both days, you can
buy tickets here .
And do both, if you can! It's definitely worth contributing to the event; for every ticket sold through
Yoga Walk, In Ticketing will plant a tree, and all proceeds from the Global Mala Project will go to benefiting organizations such as Trees for the Future, YouthAIDS, Circle of Life, War Child, and The Global Fund.
So go check out the details, and make sure to get on the guestlist, and don't forget to thank Yoga Walk for the pass.
(Dave, the VP of the organization, has a
Zaadz profile, so you can even do it 'in person.')
Big hugs, and 'til soon,
Siona and the
Zaadz Team PS. If you're not in the LA area, you can still learn more about
The Global Mala (Yoga as Peace in Action!) here. (Chances are there's at least one near you.) And, if you can't make the Yoga Walk this weekend, keep an eye out for the next event at the Concourse in San Francisco on December 8th and 9th. :)
PPS. Feel free to forward this on. The free admission is for Zaadz members, but what better way to introduce this community to a friend?
