So this is probably going to sound funny, but have you gone ahead and checked out our ads recently? We're pretty proud of them.
Why?
Because they're YOU. :)
Our current set of sponsors are part of a little project we've got going to highlight some of the businesses and projects of Zaadz members. This community is home to some amazing entrepreneurs, and from now through January, we're reserving those little squares on the right of the site for those advertisers and sponsors who might not ordinarily be able to afford standard online advertising costs.
So have a look! Check out
Now & Zen. Ten years ago Steve MacIntosh was inspired to found a business that promoted positive change in the world through art and a commitment to beauty, and this business was the result. You might not be able to visit the store in person (which is a singularly
beautiful place; it's one of the few stores I've been in that feels like walking into a meditation hall), but you can visit his
site. And there's
Falling Fruit TV. Launched recently by a group of young
Zaadzsters, their mission involves growing a conscious media network to inform and empower.. well, people like us. :)
There's the incredible film
Trust 22 (you might remember Oren from an earlier note), and even though Tarcher Penguin doesn't
quite count as a site member, their recently-released
The Power of Kindness was too incredible a book not to include. (Seriously. If you've never heard of the Italian psychotherapist and philosopher Piero Ferrucci, please go visit. His work around the cultivation of kindness is amazing.)
There's
Find Bliss, another online oasis founded by Zaadzster
Doug Corbett, and their offers of "tools for conscious living." Their interviews and music and jewelry are each beautiful in their own way, and the site serves as a fabulous resource of books and gifts.
And there's
Project Good, which is inspiration embodied.
Obviously, if you're an entrepreneur or small business owner who wants to get word of your products or services out to the community, now's a wonderful opportunity! Just drop the lovely
Terri an email (terri@zaadz.com), and she'll let you know about the next steps. CC me, if you want... if it's not abundantly obvious, I'm a bit obsessive about the community and the work being done. :)
In love, and service, and conscious capitalism,
Siona and the rest of the
Zaadz Team PS. Oh! One more thing!
Michael Garfield has been working hard over the past months to put together a compilation of music from artists on the site... and it's finally available on
OmStream.
Zaadz Visionary Music's first release is titled "
The Dream is Valid," and is a benefit compilation for
Kiva.org: the profits will be put directly toward empowering small businesses all over the world. You can go have a listen, and download it,
here.
And now might be a good time to do your daily gratitude practice. :)
Michael?
Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you...
