This is a little embarrassing to admit, but the first movie I remember is Disney's
Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. It amazes me how vivid my memory of that night is; I'd still recognize the voice of the evil Queen anywhere. :) But then, I had nightmares about the witch and her poisoned apple for weeks afterwards, and it wasn't until that movie that it ever occurred to me that "the woods" were something I should be afraid of.
"Um, Siona?" you're wondering, "Please tell me what this has to do with Gaia. Or me."
Well, film is a powerful medium. Like me, you can probably remember at least a few movies that transfixed you as a child. And if you're really lucky, you can recall a more recent film that you walked away from feeling dazed and shaken and as though your world had been turned upside down—and that made you look at everything around you through bright new eyes.
Such films are incredible gifts.
It's summer here, and the usual Hollywood blockbusters are vying for attention. I might be biased, but I haven't seen many that might qualify as life-changing films. ;) So, I'm pleased to be able to offer an alternative—and a true gift!—from a group that Gaia is closely and wonderfully connected with.
Spiritual Cinema Circle is offering a free trial to new subscribers. When you sign up
