A Quote by Mevlana Jelalu'ddin Rumi on disease, remedies, and truth
When the remedy you have offered only increases the disease, then leave him who will not be cured, and tell your story to someone who seeks the truth.

Yes, don't throw your pearls to pigs. In the short term, this is good advice.
But in the long term, it doesn't really help. When we throw something or someone “away”, there really is no such thing as “away”. They go from here to there, and my “there” is someone else's “here”. A group of people “who will not be cured”, is not a dump full of inanimate objects. They are a city full of people with a single, clearly defined agenda ready to leverage some change in our direction. Is that what we want? Or can we come up with a better way?
