It is easy in the world to live after the world's opinion; it is easy in solitude to live after our own; but the great man is he who in the midst of the crowd keeps with perfect sweetness the independence of solitude.
Ralph Waldo Emerson

I have always been different than most people, from the time when I was a little girl. It used to make me feel alone and afraid, but I still always had to be me. Now that I'm much older, a crone, I have to be me or I'm not happy. My way of living and my beliefs are very far from mainstream and at first when we became pagan a lot of people especially my husbands family thought that we were crazy or posessed by the devil. We get stares and glares because of the pentacles we wear and our tatoos that are obviously pagan but it does'nt bother me/us We are proud of our way of life & who we are. In time his and my family saw the positive changes in our lives because of our beliefs and they are now accepting of us. But wether alone or with others we are the same people and that is how I feel we all should be. Be proud of who you are! Because we are all wonderful in our individuality. A person can not be happy wearing two different faces. You don't need acceptance from others only from yourself.
