A Quote by Seth Godin on excellence, awkward, inspiration, and goals
"My new favorite word is 'awkward.'...The reason we need to be in search of awkward is that awkward is the barrier between us and excellence, between where we are and the remarkable. If it were easy, everyone would have done it already, and it wouldn't be worth the effort."

Thanks, I love this quote! It can feel awkward about being awkward, but now I can feel good about it! :p)
Seth Godin is really a great marketer, but more than that, he is a great philosopher. He really encourages people to bring everything to the table that they have–to be remarkable.
I have been building an internet business for a couple of years, and believe me, that “awkward” stage can be a doozy. Being inexperienced, gawky, unsuccessful, and extremely slow at every new task pushed my perseverance to its limits. As an adult, I had become accustomed to being adept. I had lost the child's acceptance of “no skill”.
The awkwardness wasn't just lack of skill, however. It was also lack of the ability to achieve my vision. I would get so mad at only offering the world what everyone else offered, because I hadn't yet learned how to offer more.
Now, 2 years in, I'm beginning to see glimpses of the other side. I can't yet say that I have found my excellance, but it isn't nearly as distant as before.
Offering excellance means having the patience to become exccellent.
Offering excellance means offering what your unique gifts are–what you alone have for the world.
Offering excellance means self-realization.
And excellance is a long, and windy path.
