Despite current ads and slogans, the world doesn't change one person at a time. It changes when networks of relationships form among people who share a common cause and vision of what's possible. This is good news for those of us intent on creating a positive future. Rather than worry about critical mass, our work is to foster critical connections. We don't need to convince large numbers of people to change; instead, we need to connect with kindred spirits. Through these relationships, we will develop the new knowledge, practices, courage and commitment that lead to broad-based change.

Well yes, I think that it takes one person who is willing and desireous of networking. That is why I have tried to network with as many as possible. It's like the old commercial for shampoo, “and you tell someone, and you tell someone, and you tell someone”” etc..Joanne
Abso-freakin'-lutely!
It's important to see the difference between the two things she's talkin' about. One requires a seemingly endless amount of work to create leverage, with no guarantees and plenty of discouragement along the way. The other recognizes that the work of creating leverage is already done. This is a HUGE REALIZATION! All that work to pump up the volume and reach the voting public and to convince and persuade and all that crap is not where we need to be dumping our precious time, energy or money. All we need to do is connect and show up. That's it! And there's no need to be grumpy about it!
Put the energy into connecting, just as you are doing.
This is a great insight. I'll go with what Whitewave said. Maybe its from being influenced by the philosophy of ACIM, but I think relationship is more fundamental than individuality.
