Damaged people can be dangerous, as Josephine Hart said, but they can also be one of the most productive forces for beneficial social change out there, because they know where the system and the protections it is supposed to afford us go wrong. And because they have survived trial by fire, they come out of the experience stronger than ever. From hell hath emerged Hitler and Malcolm X both. That said, the angry ones are usually the ones with the most incentive, so I kind of agree.
