Having worked in the extremely competitive music industry for many years, this quote holds a certain resonance for me. It says to me, despite all the trappings of success, you must not lose your humility and concern for others. I'd discovered this quote over 24 years ago and I continue to cite it as the one that's been most impactful in my life.
