I dislike this statement. Unless I am mistaken, poverty is relative. As a vegan activist, I spend a lot of time thinking about the poverty of animals. You can't save all animals from poverty. So are you going to say that to be human is the best form of nonviolence, or to be a nonhuman is the worst form of violence? Now… poverty created out of inequality and domination is another story.
