A Quote by Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche on overcoming fear

This verse gets me through each day, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger!  I am not afraid of anything because the lord is my shepherd!

Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche : German philosopher who delivered his philosophy "with a hammer"
Friedrich Nietzsche (1844 - 1900)

Nietzsche actually wrote “that which does not kill us only makes us stronger”. But the rest of phrase is from the Bible. Nietzsche agreed with Jesus about finding where to find our core strength (being an athiest) and Jesus' teachings made it clear that there were a lot of things that made us weak after going through them. Like using hatred towards others to be safe or saving our material possesions from a fleeting world to protect ourselves from a life we have no control over. These to Jesus were signs of weekness, but not to Nietzsche.

Very true! The challenges and even the suffering in our life are here for a reason even if we don’t know why. They make us stronger. Our faith, our fate… they are taken care of by God/Creation/”That Which Cannot be Described.”

Fear hinders progress. That which does not progress becomes stagnant. Yes?
