A Quote by Erich Fromm on love, individuality, integrity, and self
Love is union with somebody, or something, outside oneself, under the condition of retaining the separateness and integrity of one's own self.

Hmm… in a sense, I totally dig this quote. Me, I love someone unconditionally, and I know that when it becomes conditional, it's not love anymore. When it becomes conditional upon that person doing something for me, being there for me, etc. We need to be able to have our separate paths. But at the same time, love is where I realize they and I are one and the same… well, not totally the same, but not totally separate. In that realm of the unconditional, we are the same. We both need love. “There is no being; there is only interbeing.”
Actually, I still totally dig this quote. :p I thought there was a contradiction, but there's not.
