The denial of suffering is, in fact a better definition of illness than its acceptance. -Scott Peck-

There are times when the only choice is to make a bundle of all unanswered questions, leave a prayer for good, gently close the door and tiptoe away.
We avoid the things that we're afraid of because we think there will be dire consequences if we confront them. But the truly dire consequences in our lives come from avoiding things that we need to learn about or discover.
The most intelligent person is one who humbly accepts the ideas of others, and not their own
Drop your feeling of resistance when the Universe gives you more than you think you deserve. That's what the Universe does -- it gives us more than we could ever deserve. Open your arms wider and take it all in!
We must embrace the imperfection in our parents before we can embrace the imperfection in ourselves.
Every moment, we choose between seeing the beauty in front of us, as it is, or going inside our minds to dwell on a desire we do not yet have. Isn't life better when we sometimes just see the beauty in front of us, as it is?
It is time we looked to the acceptance the Lord preached and how he spent his short while here on Earth, and look not to what we must give up, but what we must include.
We know the motion of our true nature by the open embrace and empty surrender and acceptance of everything as it is.
I don't know what I'll do, or what I'll become...only what I am.
He to whom time is the same as eternity
And eternity the same as time
Is free from all contention
'To look behind or to look upfront is not as important as to look inside'
She could write the scene three times over, from three points of view...none of these three was bad, nor were they particularly good. She need not judge...She need only show seperate minds, as alive as her own, struggling with the idea that other minds were equally alive. It wasn't only wickedness and scheming that made people unhappy, it was confusion and misunderstanding; above all, it was the failure to grasp that other people are as real as you. And only in a story could you enter these different minds and show that they had equal value. That was the only moral a story need have.
Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.
Those who behave in ways that displease you are sending out their disharmony toward you because that is what they have to give away. Hating them is akin to hating moss for growing on a tree.
Know yourself as wise, loving, intelligent, eternal consciousness that never needed to change or fix anything in the first place. Then see what happens.
The Mirror of Me
In a dream I looked into a pool and what I saw was me,
But in a gentler version of what we really see.
I was then shown, this pool really does reflect,
Every one I chance to meet, in all things that exist.
As I go about my day, do I see the piece of me,
that lives in everyone I meet, in every bird and tree?
It's hard some days to see myself in beggar and in thief,
In Gossip and in Poverty as I pass it on the street.
Compassion is the key, how would it be if it was me?
Would I hope to get a smile from everyone I see?
Or would I like them to scorn and scold me for my mistake,
and pass me as so many did, leaving judgment in their wake?
Since I am a piece of God, and walk the Beauty way,
I must help myself up off the street and give encouragement away.
To give a smile.. ... You can do It... I can understand,
I can help...what can I do...give a helping hand.
For in the ripples of the pool the reflection is You I see.
It's hard to tell but I now know that you're a part of me.
God has a Great Reflecting Pool, and as he looks Within,
In His Great Wisdom sees me inside of Him.
He treats me gently like a child, no matter what mistakes I make,
And all He asks in return is that I might do the same.
Expect nothing and accept everything and you will never be disappointed.
The more you refrain from judging every event in your life as either good or bad and trust that good can come from any situation if you allow it, the more you open yourself up and allow yourself to attract that which will bring you joy.
Differences of habit and language are nothing at all if our aims are identical and our hearts are open.
If you have grasped the purpose of life there is no point in trying to make life into something it is not or cannot be.
Today, I declare peace within MY borders. I allow the Love of God to infuse my being, removing all thoughts of fear, resentment, and prejudice. The only war I need to wage is against my own adverse thoughts and feelings. So right now, right where I am, I put on the impenetrable armor of Divine Love; I gather my armies of tolerance and acceptance; I march into battle with my weapons of prayer and faith, and I declare war against anything in me that would prevent me from claiming my title as a peacemaker. PEACE BEGINS WITH ME!

Come here, This side is God's house, Here!
Come rest your elbows on this nice white picket fence,
That He has painted for just a few.
Relax, the view from his front lawn,
Towers over the highest peaks that the mind can create,
And feel free to clap your hands in glee,
For he loves the innocence in his children.
Come, lean on this fence and watch this marvellous carnival called life,
Ahh! The flush of red on your cheeks tells me that you've spotted yourself!
There behind the chourus line of time,
There you are- playing in the spotlight of your mind, Lost, alone in the midst of His love !
So beautiful to see your pearly smile adorn a shiny tear,
For that is all it costs to rest your tired elbows on His fence.
Stay here, For this is God's house.
