You were chosen by the Universe as an expression of Its greatness. Yet, with every thought and with every action, you must choose greatness or something less.

How do we face necessary, unpleasant jobs?
On the upward path, it helps to outgrow the illusion that, in and of itself, anything is unpleasant.
Face into the unpleasant, call it, "Unpleasant by my choice" and most of the unpleasantness goes away.
Call it the fault of civilization.God isn't compatible with macinery and scientific medicine and universal happiness. You must make your choice. Our civilizaition has chosen machinery and medicine and happiness. That's why I have to keep these books locked up in the safe. They're smut. People would be shocked if...

:: Your Life Can Only Be As Good As Your Choices Are ::
Being happy is the cornerstone of all that you are! Nothing is more important than that you feel good! And you have absolute and utter control about that because you can choose the thought that makes you worry or the thought that makes you happy; the things that thrill you, or the things that worry you. You have the choice in every moment.
There are five things you can choose now if changing your world, and the self-destructive direction in which it is moving, is what you wish to achieve.
1. You can choose to acknowledge that some of your old beliefs about God and about Life are no longer working.
2. You can choose to acknowledge that there is something you don not understand about God and about Life, the understanding of which will change everything.
3. You can choose to be willing for a new understand of God and Life to now be brought forth, and understanding that could produce a new way of life on your planer.
4. you can choose to be courageous enough to explore and examine the new understanding, and , it it aligns with your inner truth and knowing, to enlarge your belief system to include it.
5. You can choose to live your lives as demonstrations of your highest and grandest beliefs, rather than as denials of them.
These are the Five Steps to Peace, and if you take them, you can shift everything on your planet.
If someone would command me to choose between left and right,
I will look left, then right, then left again, and perhaps right again too.
Then cross the dangerous street, and continue my way.
The price of greatness is that we continue to expand what we do best, putting aside what we do well, especially if what we do well is expected by others.
When we understand the nature of choice and the power of intention, we will choose our leaders wisely. We cannot have enlightened societies without visionary, compassionate and emotionally intelligent leaders. In the year ahead, be a voice for choosing leaders who are worthy exemplars of these qualities.
Never underestimate the power of making your own choice.
I have come to the frightening conclusion that I am the decisive element. It is my personal approach that creates the climate. It is my daily mood that makes the weather. I possess tremendous power to make life miserable or joyous. I can be a tool of torture or an instrument of inspiration; I can humiliate or humor, hurt or heal. In all situations, it is my response that decides whether a crisis is escalated or de-escalated, and a person humanized or de-humanized. If we treat people as they are, we make them worse. If we treat people as they ought to be, we help them become what they are capable of becoming
"You don't have a choice until you know you have a choice."
Ever increasing value for Beauty supplied in its season;
Ever decreasing value for Beauty denied for any reason
The choice for Beauty supplied may be a difficult choice, yet it is a choice.
You're picky about the car you drive. You're picky about what you wear. You're picky about what you put in your mouth. We want you to be pickier about what you think.

Every day, find something new you think you cannot enjoy and enjoy it.
...I saw my life branching out before me like the green fig tree in the story.
From the tip of every branch, like a fat purple fig, a wonderful future beckoned and winked. One fig was a husband and a happy home and children, and another fig was a famous poet and another fig was a brilliant professor, and another fig was Ee Gee, the amazing editor, and another fig was Europe and Africa and South America, and another fig was Constantin and Socrates and Attila and a pack of other lovers with queer names and offbeat professions, and another fig was an Olympic lady crew champion, and beyond and above these figs were many more figs I couldn't quite make out.
I saw myself sitting in the crotch of this fig tree, starving to death, just because I couldn't make up my mind which of the figs I would choose. I wanted each and every one of them, but choosing one meant losing all the rest, and, as I sat there, unable to decide, the figs began to wrinkle and go black, and, one by one, they plopped to the ground at my feet.
Listen: We live in a world in which everyone is always in a hurry; no one has time for anything. It's true for you, and it's just as true for me. Well, in this situation each of us has to make a choice: either to be overwhelmed by our work or else to sanctify it. There is no middle course.
Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice. It is not a thing to be waited for; it is a thing to be achieved.
Pleasure is great- but it doesn't last. Pleasure comes from your five senses. From a great meal, a nice glass of wine and a new car. Nothing wrong with these things- they make the experience of life better. But they are fleeeting...
Happiness is the DNA of pleasure. My point is simply this: Pleasure comes from something on the outside. Happiness comes from within. It's a state you create by choice. It's a decision. It's an act of will.
People can be happy while they are going through great pain and adversity. There's no pleasure evident in their external lives yet they are content on the inside. And conversely, tons of people are surrounded by pleasure (fast cars, nice homes, great clothes) but there is no joy within. So choose to be happy.
Some leaders are born, others learn to be leaders, but in truth leadership is simply a choice; a choice to acknowledge, honour and respect who you are.
Love is as love does. Love is an act of will--namely, both an intention and an action. Will also implies choice. We do not have to love. We choose to love.
If you want guarantees in life, then you don’t want life. You want rehearsals for a script that’s already been written.
Life by its nature cannot have guarantees, or its whole purpose is thwarted.
For centuries you have been taught that love-sponsored action arises out of the choice to be, do, and have whatever produces the highest good for another. Yet I tell you this: the highest choice is that which produces the highest good for you.
Yea, let all those who have ears to hear, listen. For I tell you this: at the critical juncture in all human relationships, there is only one question: What would love do now?
Remember, you are constantly in the act of creating yourself. You are in every moment deciding who and what you are. You decide this largely through the choices you make regarding who and what you feel passionate about.
