The catalyst that converts any physical location - any environment if you will - into a place, is the process of experiencing deeply. A place is a piece of the whole environment that has been claimed by feelings. Viewed simply as a life-support system, the earth is an environment. Viewed as a resource that sustains our humanity, the earth is a collection of places.
Whoever among men who walk the Earth has seen these Mysteries is blessed, but whoever in uninitiated and has not received his share of the rite, he will not have the same lot as the others, once he is dead and dwells in the mould where the sun goes down.
And so in my mind's eye these coastal forms merge and blend in a shifting, kaleidoscopic pattern in which there is no finality, no ultimate and fixed reality - earth becoming fluid as the sea itself.
Everything the Power of the World does is in a circle. The Sky is round and I have heard that the earth is round like a ball and so are all the stars. The Wind, in its greatest power, whirls. Birds make their nests in circles. ... The sun comes forth and goes down again in a circle. The moon does the same, and both are round. Even the seasons form a great circle in their changing, and always come back again to where they were.
Find the cost of freedom buried in the ground
Mother Earth will swallow you, lay your body down
There was a time when meadow, grove, and stream,
The earth, and every common sight,
To me did seem
Apparelled in celestial light,
The glory and the freshness of a dream.

If you follow your heart you walk a path towards truth that leads directly into the arms of Sacred Mother Earth.
We are gardeners of spirit , if we plant and nurture happiness we will create a heaven on earth where all may walk in peace and beauty.
The human energy field embodies a collective wisdom that celebrates the divine wisdom of all. Therefore to live in communion and union we must embrace diversity as a brother as passionately as we embrace earth as our mother.

I live on a small blue planet.
Everyone seems far away,
No one seems close.
Everywhere is blackness,
Yet abundant life consumes each moment.
I wish and hope
Everyone could see this blue fragile life
Floating in the blackness–
Next time they miss the bus,

We are floating on a blue dot–
We should all be frightfully concerned.

We will always be on this blue dot,

Look up
See blue.
That color came from somewhere.
It could be another color if we don't play our cards right.

Today is the Earth Days first breath
We can't sing a cardinal's song better than a cardinal. Better just to sing your own song.
"Here is the test to find whether your mission on earth is finished: If you're alive, it isn't."
Your life has an inner purpose and an outer purpose. Inner purpose concerns Being and is primary. Outer purpose concerns doing and it is secondary. Your inner purpose is to awaken. It is as simple as that. You share that purpose with every other person on the planet - because it is the purpose of humanity. Your inner purpose is an essential part of the purpose of the whole, the universe and its emerging intelligence. Your outer purpose can change over time. It varies greatly from person to person. Finding and living in alignment with the inner purpose is the foundation for fulfilling your outer purpose. It is the basis for true success. Without that alignment, you can still achieve certain things through effort, struggle, determination, and sheer hard work or cunning. But there is no joy in such endevor, and it invariably ends in some form of suffering.
Erosion, desertification, and pollution have become our lot. It is a weird form of suicide, for we are bleeding our planet to death.
There will be peace on earth when there is peace among the world religions.
The last sound on the worthless earth will be two human beings trying to launch a homemade spaceship and already quarreling about where they are going next.
We might sometimes reflect and recall that the purpose of all our science, technology, industry, manufacturing, commerce, and finance is celebration, planetary celebration. This is what moves the stars through the heavens and the earth through its seasons. The final norm of judgment concerning the success or failure of our technologies is the extent to which they enable us to participate more fully in this grand festival.
Powerful realities unfold when the ONE is combined with its polar extreme, the many. The more Heaven and Earth marry, the more we can approach Higher Actualities of existence.
The time has come to lower our voices, to cease imposing our mechanistic patterns on the biological processes of the earth, to resist the impulse to control, to command, to force, to oppress, and to begin quite humbly to follow the guidance of the larger community on which all life depends.

I was encouraged from the beginning to see the Earth as the best teacher and in addition was taught the old Gypsy arts of surviving the gaujo [non-Gypsy] world, much of which involved surviving the world outside your door emotionally.
