When you're trying to do something, don't give-up because it's hard! Keep on trying, and don't give up!

I once heard a story about a visit to heaven and hell. In both places the visitor saw many people seated at a table on which many delicious foods were laid out. In both places chopsticks over a meter long were tied to their right hands, while their left hands were tied to their chairs.
In hell, however much they stretched out their arms, the chopsticks were too long for them to get food into their mouths. They grew impatient and got their hands and chopsticks tangled with one another's. The delicacies were scattered here and there.
In heaven, on the other hand, people happily used the long chopsticks to pick out someone else's favorite food and feed it to him, and in turn they were being fed by others. They all enjoyed their meal in harmony.
The busiest person is the one who always has time to help someone else.

"There were two men standing across from each other, each in desperate need of a helping hand. They reached out to each other, but their fingers barely touched. The man on the right wondered why the other man wouldn't reach just one inch more. Finally, frustrated, he reached forward and clasped the other man's hand. When the other man tried to hug him, he stepped back.
"Why didn't you reach just one more inch?" he demanded.
The other man was astonished.
"One more inch?" he asked. "To me it seemed like you were miles away."
Since periods of great change, such as the present one, come so rarely in human history, it is up to each of us to make the best use of our time to help create a happier world.
Whenever your are in danger, whether in war, forest, ocean or jungle, remember Me. I shall save you. You may not know me. You may not realize who I am. Just pray to me with a little touch of your heart, and I shall free you from gripping sorrows and miseries. I willingly reveal myself to you. Therefore, you are in a position to reach me, or else, it is impossible. No power on heaven or earth can damage the devotees who take shelter under me. For there is none greater than me to punish you. I can do whatever I like. It is only your lack of trust, your non-belief, that keeps your desires unfulfilled. For those who with love and devotion surrender to me, if they are in trouble, my heart melts. This is my compassion. And with my compassion, my power flows out to them, freeing them from miseries and unhappiness.
I am Eternal. I am Deathless. I AM.
The one thing we can all agree, all faiths, all ideologies, is that God is with the vulnerable and the poor. God is in the slums, in the cardboard boxes where the poor play house... God is in the silence of a mother who has infected her child with a virus that will end both their lives... God is in the cries heard under the rubble of war... God is in the debris of wasted opportunity and lives, and God is with us if we are with them
A little boy was having difficulty lifting a heavy stone.
His father came along just then.
Noting the boy's failure, he asked, "Are you using all your strength?"
"Yes, I am," the little boy said impatiently.
"No, you are not," the father answered.
"I am right here just waiting, and you haven't asked me to help you."

The greatest happiness we can give to a mate comes from helping him or her to more understanding of Truth.
It isn't about what I have, it's about where I'm going - it's about the people I'm trying to help get there.
God helps those, that help themselves.
It was on my fifth birthday that Papa put his hand on my shoulder and said, 'Remember, my son, if you ever need a helping hand, you'll find one at the end of your arm.
Someone who is willing to step forward and help is much more courageous than someone who is merely fulfilling the role.
The moment we use the term 'help', a kind of egocentric idea enters into us. If we help someone, that means we are in a superior position. When we help, we feel that we are one step ahead or one step higher than the ones that we are helping. But if we serve someone, then we offer our capacity with humility, on the strength of our loving concern and oneness. So let us use the proper term, 'service'.
I think everybody longs to be loved and longs to know that he or she is lovable and, consequently, the greatest thing that we can do is to help somebody know that they are loved and capable of loving.
Angels are 'beings of light' and therefore travel at the speed of light...
The purpose of human life is to serve, and to show compassion and the will to help others.
Flowers help us release, renew and rejoice.
They remind us of who we really are and let us
return to our state of beauty and freedom.

* This site, telesterion, is mostly sophomoric crap in it's earlier pages. I'm hoping to add more quality crap. As far as sincere and well meaning-- well, mostly I'm just hoping to help a few people not be as big an idiot as I was when I was a younger "student of consciousness and spirituality".
This knowledge would be of vlaue to me in my ministry. The more I knew about my fellowman, the better I could understand and help him. This was my mission in life: to help each man and woman know his real self and how to express his true potential. This journey had helped me realize how much work there was for me to do and how much I had to learn myself before I could proceed with my life work.
If I could tell the world just one thing
It would be that we're all OK
And not to worry 'cause worry is wasteful
And useless in times like these
I won't be made useless
I won't be idle with despair
I will gather myself around my faith
For light does the darkness most fear
My hands are small, I know
But they're not yours, they are my own
But they're not yours, they are my own
And I am never broken
