"Regard the fleeting world like this: like stars fading and vanishing at dawn, like bubbles on a fast moving stream, like morning dewdrops evaporating on blades of grass, like a candle flickering in a strong wind; echoes, mirages, and phantoms, hallucinations, and like a dream.
There was a part of the mind - perhaps what we call the self-reflective or introspective function - that kept turning to look and, finding emptiness, kept sending the message that something was wrong. It was a reflex that had developed during the years of living in the illusion of individuality, a reflex we commonly consider necessary to our selves. We "look within" repeatedly to determine what we think and feels, to make a study of ourselves and track our states of mind and heart. Now that there was no longer an "in" to look "into", the self-reflective reflex was adrift, but persisted. It kept turning in and turning in, unable to come to terms with the fact that there was no in anymore, only emptiness.
Even when utterly alone, the self is forever relational, and therefore always looking... at something. At times with the bird's eye view, it looks up to see cosmic origins, at another time it glances down to see the hardened cocoon of the body. And then it sees that there are other meshes, of gender, culture, times, ambitions, or just the greatest restriction of all, the compulsion to communicate, the greatest illusion of our lonely lives.
What pushes the masses into the camp of socialism is, even more than the illusion that socialism will make them richer, the expectation that it will curb all those who are better than they themselves are.
The institution of the democratic State is a remarkable example of modern idolatry. By ritually celebrating elections that are played out like a great social mass, the State allows us to participate in a religion that will influence the idol in our favour. If we make the idol an offering of the right ballot, it will bring us security, lifetime employment, a guaranteed pension, free medical care, environmental protection and a good school for our children. All these favours will rain down on us. We will not have to do anything to earn them. What could be more magical than that belief?
"What are we to learn by contrast? The answer to this is; to learn what to avoid and what to seek. That part of our SELF which is deluded, the separate Self, knows this only too well. So, in line with every other truth, it was turned into a farce. The seeking now becomes not one between dream and reality but one between polarities themselves, whcih are but part of the dream. Thus the choice, the freedom of choice the Ego offers, is the choice between a dream and a dream. A rock and a hard place.
So, now the picture looks like this: we religiously avoid the Bad and seek the Good or avoid what is Good and seek the Bad as we 'avoid' and 'seek'! It does not really matter which way the pendulum swings, as long as it rmains within 'opposing forces', within polarities; this way escape is made impossible, illusion reassured. As long as we are guided by false perception, we see the cintrast as the contrast between polarities themselves and believe we must choose between poalarites.
"In truth there is but one problem and therefore only one answer. The intelligent approach to be expected them would be the attempt to define the problem containing all problems, which is, as we now know, separation. once we have defined the root problem, we can look at the idea it stands for. Having understood the idea, not only intellectually but with out hearts, all problems vanish, for the root problem containing all its parts, all individual problems, is understood, and that is separation. Once we understand separation we cannot judge it or its individual appearances. With this understanding the only road open for us to take is to allow it in all its manifestation, and to transcend it. Allowing ourself and our brother the illusion of separations means to forgive,. This delivers us the bridge of the cross. As the last remnants of separation thus reunify with the vertical pole of the cross, the lateral pole dissolves, together with the very bridge we stand upon and merges into Oneness. We know we have returned home."
Government is the great fiction through which everybody endeavors to live at the expense of everybody else.
"The master and the student on the journey to mastery, knows that the illusions are the illusions, decides why they are there, and then consciously creates what will be experienced next within the self through the illusions. When facing any life experience, there is a formula, a process, through which you may choose to move through mastery. Simply make the following statements: One, nothing in my world is real. Two, The meaning of everything is the meaning I give it. Three, I am who I say I am, and my experience is what I say it is. This is how to work with the illusions of life."
Reality is an illusion, albeit a persistent one.
It must be realized that, while money may represent an asset to selected individuals, when it is considered as an aggregate of the total money supply, it is not an asset at all. A man who borrows $1,000 may think that he has increased his financial position by that amount but he has not. His $1,000 cash asset is offset by his $1,000 loan liability, and his net position is zero. Bank accounts are exactly the same on a larger scale. Add up all the bank accounts in the nation, and it would be easy to assume that all that money represents a gigantic pool of assets which support the economy. Yet, every bit of this money is owed by someone. Some will owe nothing. Others will owe many times what they possess. All added together, the national balance is zero. What we think is money is but a grand illusion. The reality is debt.
Your true self will take over to the degree that you let go of your illusory self. It is that simple.
What if everything is an illusion and nothing exists?. In that case , i definitely overpaid for my carpet !.
Our seperation of each other is an optical illusion of consciousness.
There is no greater illusion than fear.
Tao Te Ching
Who you are is this "motion of seeing" that is looking through your eyes right now. When you stop at and as this "motion of aliveness" - by consciously refocusing your attention to this seer; by coming to being deeply at rest at and as this one that is the "you" that you can never get away from; by no longer furthering out from this "you" and into the attempt to try and be something that is notyou; you are immediately freed from who you think you are in every given moment of this realization.
True happiness is completely causeless; it is not reliant on a thing; it is its own reward, its own pleasure. It is immutable and immovable even as it is constantly changing and forever increasing in its movement into its own manifestation.
Your true home is in being deeply at rest at and as the heart of existence itself, the "you" that you truly are and have always been. The heart is totally free of everything even as it contains everything, sustains everything and is flowing through everything - without any paradox or contradiction to any of it.
As you learn to leave alone the activity of unconsciously trying to be the mindbody that you think that you are - the mindbody that this "you" is currently flowing through - and you learn to move as this one that you truly are - this "you" of you; the very heart of existence - steadily, consciously and momentarily, the continuity of the ever deepening of this innermost as it keeps on entering its manifestation, through this mindbody that you find yourself flowing through, allows you to simply bubble in the sheer joy, pleasure, peace, delightfulness and stillness that this "you" of you is.
We live in illusion and the appearance of things. There is a reality. We are that reality. When we understand this, we see that we are nothing. And being nothing, we are everything. That is all.
"Reality is an illusion. Albeit, a persistent one."
It is my CONCLUSION
that the PROFUSION
of CONFUSION
is a result of the DELUSION
of the ILLUSION
Therefore
We must Visualize
and not use what we call our REAL EYES
Because what we VISUALIZE
we can REALIZE
