Humans are so odd, really. Half spiritual, half physical. What amphibians. I like to think that it allows us to enjoy the physical world in a way that the angels can't, and the spiritual world in a way the animal kingdom can't. Somehow by blending both we turn it into something completely other.

Repression of sexuality leads to hysterical (hystera means womb in Greek), exaggerated pseudospirituality, typical of Victorianism and Freud's days. But repression of the religious myth leads to the neurosis of our time, to a primitive mythologization of secular values, to a pseudoreligion of material prosperity, monetary greed and sexual thrills. Finally, the repressed energy of the myth contains also the threat of collective no less than individual psychosis, which those who can become aware of the situation have the awesome responsibility to attempt to transform.
No human society, present or past, has lacked music. Music is therefore one of the very few human universals, which puts it on the same level as food and sex.
Then I was eighteen again, literally, hitchhiking in a bewildering zigzag from Toad Suck Park, Arkansas, to Big Bone Lick State Park, Kentucky, to Hungry Mother State Park, Virginia, to Intercourse, Pennsylvania, through the Shenandoah Valley to Sweet Lips, Tennessee, and then on through the Bible Belt bound, as best I could tell, for Climax, North Carolina.

A: That tradition has value but also ambiguous results. First, it creates an aversion and a sense of sin or guilt about the issues. It also inflates their importance, thereby creating a fear. It is not sex and money that are problems but the attachments to them. In the nonattached state, there is neither attraction nor aversion. Teachers such as Ramakrishna forbade both sex and money to his young male students. He held that they could be contaminated by even just the energy of sex or money.
Inasmuch as greed and desire calibrate below 200 (they are at 125), avoidance was an attempt to forestall attachment. However, the desire for sex or money stems from within an can remain within the ego, even though it is not indulged in or acted upon. At beginning levels of spiritual training, avoidance may well be the best course because desires are so strong. There mere willingness to sacrifice sensual pleasure or worldly gain is already of value in learning how to transcend attractions and instinctual drives, and the intensity of spiritual commitment is enhanced.
Throughout history and up to the current time, there have been a number of well known 'gurus' who became addicted to sex, power, and money, and who covered up their actions with clever rationalizations. Those who exhibit wealth, a veneer of spiritual trappings, and who approve of sexual acting out attract many followers.
The basis for this paradox was revealed through spiritual research. Often, the early writings of a famous or popular guru calibrate quite high (usually in the high 400s to middle 500s). Then, after much success and acclaim, the calibrated level of the guru drops precipituously, sometimes to even below 200. Thus, it is not uncommon for there to be a wide disparity between the early writings of a teacher and the teacher's later level of consciousness. In some cases, both recent and current, the resultant misbehaviors create scandal and dismay, and residual followers haev to resort to denial to rationalize their continued obedience to a cult or group of adherents. Although the erstwhile guru's own calibration may have fallen significantly, the calibration of the original writings remain the same.
Scratch most feminists and underneath there is a woman who longs to be a sex object. The difference is that is not all she longs to be.

Sex is the creative principle. It is the dual desire force in Mind for expressing its One Idea. Without a division of the one unconditioned Light into two seemingly conditioned lights, Creation could not be.
Sex is not a thing, it is a condition of a thing.
An electrically balanced condition of anything is sexless whether it be a man, woman, electric battery, or the atmosphere.
A sexed condition is an unbalanced condition. An electric battery which is fully charged is dually unbalanced by the opposite electric pressures of compression and expansion. These two opposite unbalanced conditions violently desire to return to the oneness of balance from which they were divided into two. A short circuit between the two poles of the battery will give it that balance. We then say it is dead, for it will no longer perform work by expressing its desire for balance.
Everyone recognizes to some extent the type that each is draw to and they intuitively feel each other’s polarity, mentally and physically. Such types naturally gravitate to and recognize each other, so that out of any hundred people, ninety-nine might have no mental or sex appeal for each other – while the hundredth would. All humans should seek the type which corresponds to their own electric wave length. When types so find each other, they will be as perfectly balanced as sodium and chlorine, and the union should be enduring.
It is a common saying that people should marry their opposites. Nothing could be more contrary to universal law than this statement. Everywhere in Nature, like attracts like. This is fundamental. Opposites repel each other. Opposites in temperament and physical patterns invite discord, infidelity and mutual degradation. Matrimonial mismating unbalances the blood stream just as certainly as promiscuous mismating unbalances it.
Sex as characteristic of the elements
Nature’s control over the lower orders of creative expression, such as in the chemical elements, is plainly indicated in their crystallization. Every truly balanced mating of equal halves crystallizes as a true cube, while the slightest deviation in balance departs from the cube.
Sex is not yet recognized as characteristic of the elements. It is supposedly limited to the organic or living things of Creation. Sex is the fundamental principle of Creation. Everything comes into the appearance of existence by the union of two opposite halves of a unit pattern, and everything repeats itself by the division of a unit into its positive and negative expressions. This is as true of the elements of matter as it is of animal and vegetable life.
The sex matings of the elements exactly coincide in effect with the sex matings of humans. Violent explosions in the elements have the same basic cause as such violent explosions as murder in humans. Terrific electric unbalance is the cause of both. Likewise, stability in the elements and in humans has the same cause in equality of balance.
Sodium and chlorine are good examples of positive and negative opposites of a pair which are equally but oppositely balanced with each other and each equally unbalanced with its fulcrum equator. When these two chemical elements “marry”, they become such perfectly balanced and stable mates that the chemists call them “affinities”.

There's the vibrating handles of lawn mowers right at crotch level. There's vacuum cleaners and beanbag chairs. Internet sites. All those old chat room sex hounds pretending to be sixteen-year-old girls. For serious, old FBI guys makes the sexiest cyberbabes.
Sex is great, addictive, pleasureful and blurs the mind and you capability to make objective decisions, luckily, so is religion. Is that why most religious people are so strait-laced about sex?
