I just learned something from a fellow writer that may be of real interest both to readers and writers. For readers, HarperCollins of London has created an online community called Authonomy that is “much more than a community of book lovers.” For writers, and directly benefiting readers in search of new voices, Authonomy is “on a mission to flush out the brightest, freshest new writing talent around.”

If this is of interest to you, by way of exploring Authonomy, please check out my first novel BEGINNER’S LUKE, described by Apex Reviews as a “mind-bending journey through the mind of the ultimate iconoclast,” at

A dubious scientist has conducted an in-depth study of alternative therapies and deduced - to her surprise - that they are not merely mumbo jumbo. Kathy Sykes said that she had previously been cautious about using alternative therapies. She explains, "I would rather put my faith in conventional medicine, which has been put through numerous trials and research, and proven to work through rigorous experiments." However, after spending months studying reflexology, meditation and hypnotherapy for a BBC documentary, she has had a change of heart.

Power or potential energy has an inherent attractive quality. This quality can be described as “like attracts like.” Prosperity is a form of Power and can be embodied through the “certain way of thinking.”

Force or kinetic energy is Power in action. Abundance is a form of Force predicated from Prosperity. I aim to embody Prosperity to the best of my abilities subsequently channeling Abundance to and through all those around me.

Picture a pyramid of cups, with a golden elixir pouring into the top cup and spilling over into all other cups. In the Thoth Tarot this exact image is pictured in the Three of Cups; the card of Abundance.

Your one wild and precious life!

one wild and precious life

Recently, I was reading a poem "The Summer Day" by Mary Oliver and her words remain a reverberating echo on the breath of each new day... supporting my courage to act and to be gracious and to be curious.  The words are as follows:

Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?

Isn’t it exciting? How wonderful to greet each day with this question! I giggle at the very thought of living the answer to this question. What endless and rich possibilities! Even in dark moments of doubt, fear and limitations these words can light a spark. One spark is all it takes to light a fire in our belly – a fire that will kindle gratitude in our heart and energy in our feet. What is sparking the fire in your belly? I would love to hear!

In the mean time, you may enjoy reading my article about Nanette Johnston and what she is doing with her one wild and precious life... "I'm already beautiful - I just need a hair cut!"
