There's an arching Juniper tree outside the window of the room where I'm staying here in the Sandia Mountains of New Mexico. The Sun is puctuating the power of light as pierces through the gradual crescendo of cloud cover so common to this part of the day. Within the hour a short monsoon rain will wash over the high desert in curtains of water. Everything opens to receive this coveted moisture, and in that opening fragrances that push past the intellect and make a beeline for the heart pulse through the air.
Connecting with this cycle quiets any plotting and planning in my mind, reveals the stillness I know I am. I'm grounded and clear. It's that simple. Noticing, breathing into the noticing, letting the body soften. Clarity.
This phenomenon is simple, and totally available for free nearly everywhere. Watching, connecting with Nature. Even in a house plant.
Letting simpicity in.
Letting go of the surprisingly addictive pull of overwhelm in favor of stillness.
Enjoy!
Love,
Scott
