I just learned something from a fellow writer that may be of real interest both to readers and writers. For readers, HarperCollins of London has created an online community called Authonomy that is “much more than a community of book lovers.” For writers, and directly benefiting readers in search of new voices, Authonomy is “on a mission to flush out the brightest, freshest new writing talent around.”
If this is of interest to you, by way of exploring Authonomy, please check out my first novel BEGINNER’S LUKE, described by Apex Reviews as a “mind-bending journey through the mind of the ultimate iconoclast,” at

if you're an avid reader like myself, then i advise you to check out this site called bookmooch.com its amazing!! the website is basically an online library (well kind of :D) only better.
you put in your old books (the ones you've already read or don't want anymore) and you can trade your books for others. its all based on a point system and the site explains it more clearly. but its totally free (all you have to pay is for mailing postage) and a great way to read different books (plus its always fun to get mail!!).
so i just thought i'd pass it on, its a great site and i thought you may be interested :D
enjoy
