An Ordinary Life (2009)

What would it be like to be so incapacitated that you could barely do a thing for yourself? What would it be like to live with Down syndrome, to strive for an ordinary life yet be judged at every turn? What would it be like to be one of the fittest and most daring guys in your peer group, then experience a brain injury so severe that you had to learn to walk and talk all over again? And what would it be like to have a massive facial tumor that left you completely disfigured? How far would you go to restore your looks?

An Ordinary Life is a series of documentaries that take an intimate look at the lives of individuals affected by disability. Some are born with their disability while others acquire it through accident or illness. All anyone wants in these remarkable stories is an ordinary life. Yet their circumstances are such that they lead anything but a regular existence. An Ordinary Life highlights everything that is possible for people who live with a disability, and to put the spotlight on individuals who have a unique, admirable and inspiring attitude to life and the challenges they face.
