I LOVE this simple morning workout. I am definitely a beginner and this is just right!

evawilhelm, posted on August 26, 2016

Bliss- ready to go to bed, encouraged releasing air and tiredness, thank you!

evawilhelm, posted on August 18, 2016

Never ever have I had a better understanding of poses! Thank you so much! I will keep doing this, just this until my body gets it!

Thank you so much. Although, I have been practising Yoga on and off for over 30 years, I did this one as I have some minor injuries and hurt from Osteoarthritis. At the end of it, tears welled up and I feel so grateful for you, this day and everything! Thank you, Namaste!

followed this video this morning as I am a beginner who wants to establish a daily home practice. A great intro, I enjoyed every minute and am keen to repeat it again tomorrow!

I've attempted yoga many times: classes, solo instructor, and youtube videos and, no matter what, I always felt one-step behind and physically inept. Rodney Yee's instruction has me really focused on my breathing and alignment. His pacing and gentle encouragement just works. My flexibility is slowly increasing and the gains in strength noticeable. Most of all? That pause at the end of my exhalation is my new tonic. With many thanks - LM

Learn so much each time I practice and listen to this guide. Inspirational even as a practiced yoga student/teacher. Thank you both! namaste.

This is my all time favorite session. I'm a beginner and I actually signed up for the annual giamtv just for this session. I'll try some others I'm sure but I highly recommend & I like that you do not need any props as well. I'm doing it to help manage stress and breathing issues due to severe allergic issues. Thanks Colleen!

Nice & short. Great before bedtime.

I enjoyed the pose guide as I re-introduce myself back into yoga practice after some time off, it's a good review of alignment in some of the basic poses, thanks!

This is informative. I never realized that making a few minor tweaks to my positions would make such a difference! Very impressed.

beautiful morning stretch I love it. this gently opens your breath and awakens you body for the best morning I have had in a long time. I added this to my playlist so that I can do this again tomorrow and I also added the evening one to end my day. I am very happy with this it was easy for me and it was great thanks

I finally got through a practice without feeling pain and strain. I realized I had been doing a lot of poses very wrong. I feel energized yet very, very calm.

As a beginner-ish to yoga the pose guide is a huge help and great yoga session. I've taken a good intro class but a person needs review and if you can't get to a class this is the next best thing.

thank youl I have been afraid to restart my practice, afraid it wouldn't work, I was too old or too far away from it all. This video lets me begin again.

This is one of my favorite beginning yoga routines. I own the DVD and my particular favorite is the the track with the meditation. However, this seems to be missing on the online version. Is there a way to access it? I'd like to have it with me when I travel and don't always have access for use with my DVD.

I'm also interested to know if any of his other yoga sessions have the optional meditation track. I thoroughly enjoy this and would love to know if an optional meditation track exists on other workouts.

I love this routine.
Does any one know if the inspirational routine that Rodney Lee has on his CD available on Gaiam?
That is very calming and yes, inspirational!

Although I've done yoga on and off (mostly off!) for years, I haven't done it lately and am overweight and out of shape. After trying several other yoga videos here at gaiamtv and finding them either too advanced or too strenuous, I was delighted with Episode 1 Morning of this beginning yoga series. I was able to do everything from start to finish and feel like I had a good workout. I was very impressed with Rodney Yee, and I look forward to doing the other videos in this series so I can build strength, tone and lose weight before working up to more difficult yoga videos.

I'm brand new to yoga and it has been difficult to find an instructional video that walks you through yoga terminology, how to stand, how to breath, foundational poses, etc. I really appreciated the pose guide on this one. It helped me understand the very basics of yoga poses and gave me an overview of the vocabulary. I feel less intimidated now.

This is my most favorite Yoga DVD. I have the DVD at our home in the US but we are currently living in Mexico. GaiamTV gives me the ability to do my favorite Yoga workouts. I watched a little bit of it last night and was a little concerned with some buffering issues but this morning it played straight through the Morning routine without a problem.

I have long wanted to do this tape and am so glad I finally did. Clarified so much about alignment of the body. Nicely done in tandem with Colleen, nice energy.

the poses in the AM were good for beginners however as a beginner the poses in the PM were terrible i couldn't come anywhere near some of them poses and it hurt to try for instance 4:01 and then 12:12 were the worst poses, I feel there are better poses to have as a "beginners"

I am 69 years old and have had many surgeries. I am very much interested in exploring and expanding my consciousness with yoga for the beginner but I am unable to sit for any length of time before pain disrupts my concentration. Are there any suggestions as to a way that I might reap the benefits of yoga laying down? Thank you, James Worthen

It's nice to wake up with Rodney. His soothing voice and poses geared for beginners is a great start to the day.

mlapke, posted on September 6, 2012

I love the evening one! Absolutely my pace and perfectly relaxing.

This is my first yoga video and first time trying yoga. Rodney's explanations are very helpful. I started with the pose guide. I was slightly sore throughout the day which means I had worked muscles I'm not used to. I look forward to his other videos. I'm even joining a yoga studio. Thanks Rodney!

great beginner DVD

CCarter, posted on November 5, 2011

Great for a beginner, that can't get into difficult poses. Felt wonderful!

krisedler, posted on November 2, 2011

I enjoyed the lower body stretches on this set, which makes it nice for those sitting in a desk all afternoon. I would have liked a bit more upper body or neck (esp since it's a PM exercise). Office workers and busy people often have neck and lower back pains they are trying to de-stress from.
