I picked this class because I was looking for a quick powerflow. While this was a beautiful practice which I'll likely do again, I wouldn't describe it as a weightloss yoga practice., posted on May 22, 2016

I wasn't used to listening to this instructor so it was really difficult for me to follow. I felt like i constantly kept getting my left and right mixed up and it didn't even help watching the video because they "mirrored" the poses so I kept getting lost. I felt like the poses was good for weight loss, continuous, music, and talking was soothing....but it wasn't for me. I think if the cues were correct and matched the video it wouldve been a lot better.

It's my favorite 12 minute yoga of all times!

This was my first time working out with Gaia or with Trudy and James. I've been taking chair yoga at a local pharmacy for some time now, but I've moved beyond what the class does, so came to Gaia looking for something a bit more challenging. I am so glad I tried this workout first. There were several moves that challenge me and two that are, at this point beyond me. I'll get there though, with repeated practice and continued weight loss. Thanks so much for this!

I do have one question. It's Trudy Styler's workout, but James does all the talking. What's the story there. No problem with it at all. Just curious.

Thank you.

I got a bit bored - not a lot of variety in this one.
Also, if this is Trudy's yoga, why does the man do all the talking?

A nice warming standing routine. It was energizing and peaceful at the same time, which is what I need for morning practices.

spdaphne, posted on October 13, 2014

I enjoy James D'Silva's AM workout. It's short and sweet. It's gentle enough if you roll out of bed in the morning and get my body moving, but not too much that it hurts. It's one of my go-to morning practices, especially on a work day. Thanks!

Realgonekitty, posted on September 14, 2014

What a peaceful and joyful instructor. Keeps me coming back for more!

wiredwoman2, posted on September 4, 2014

Fluid class, made me sweat would have enjoyed a few minutes of rest at the end to complete. I added it on my own.

leewallsmindy, posted on July 28, 2014

One of the better flows Gaiam offers, for sure. He does a good job of leading through sun salutations, warrior poses, triangle and others that are fundamental but key. Each pose is held for one full breath which I like as you'll actually work up a sweat! I personally find the vinyasa-style flows to allow me a better opportunity at being in my body which is great if anxiety is something you struggle with. However, there is no overt emphasis on any kind of spiritual work, meditation, or pranayama here. Just a good, solid flow to get you moving and sweating.

janie_mcqueen, posted on April 4, 2014

This short workout is one of the few workouts I've done recently that made me sweat a little--without my noticing! I too like the instructor's spare style, and voice. I'm going to look for more from him and Trudie. Her figure is enough to make me want to do this every day.

floorvan, posted on June 25, 2013

I love this workout. And I love the instructor's voice! No new age mumble jumble. Just yoga. Excellent!

Really enjoyed this workout. Great flow with great instructor. I cant wait to wake up and do this yoga workout tomorrow!

altitude92, posted on May 22, 2013

This one is a good flow for AM, in that it is gentle but gets the heart rate going. I really like how it feels like a complete workout as opposed to a section of a longer one - it includes stretching, breathing, some strength and just a wonderful workout to wake up with.

jlreilly, posted on February 1, 2013

These routines transform you into a whole new person, ready for the day, calm and worked! Do not let the soothing voice or the pace fool you. You are working. I have been doing yoga for years. This is a treat.

Jazelyoga, posted on January 13, 2013

They are easy to follow and they're not acrobatic like the other yoga videos I watched before. Each program is not long and it targets specific group of muscles. These programs work so well for my schedule being a working mom. The voice of the person on the video sounds so soothing. The people on the video are not young people and they look great ! They inspire me to work and take care of my body. I am hooked !!! Great work out.

bbskyrox, posted on August 24, 2012

The movements flow together easily and the repetition of bending and stretching along with complete breathing instruction can be somewhat vigorous if approached with enthusiasm. I caught a nice "glisten" and felt quite warmed up by the end of this practice. The vocal instruction accompanies the whole section and is really lovely and helpful in keeping the pace.

quick basic twists. not sure why they call it Trudie Styler's workout...she doesn't instruct.

I did the Conditioning for Weight Loss followed by the Meditation and man do I have some energy now! Before I started I listened to the Interview with Trudie and she was quite the motivation to keep me clearheaded. Quite the sequence. I will be back!

kirkwh, posted on February 7, 2012

Hes such a good instructor, his cues are perfect. The routine is perfect to start out the week and gets the blood flowing nice.

jaimepom, posted on February 6, 2012

I really enjoyed the slightly faster paced section but it was so short!
I would also like the video to build on the sequence giving some variations.
Also, some of the cues are off and found myself needing to look up often. Like "stand tall" when really you are folding over your legs, that is a poor cue.
Other then that loved the flow and would love a longer version of this video with some standing work.
