Antioxidants are stable molecules that protect the body's cells against oxidation and the effects of free radicals. This recipe makes a densely nutritious soup with great flavor and loads of antioxidants - perfect for supporting healthy skin from the inside out.

Ingredients
(use organic ingredients where possible)
- 4 ounces arugula
- 1 lemon
- 1 tomato or ½ cucumber
- ½ red bell pepper
- ¼ avocado
- ¼ cup fresh parsley
- 2 tbsp red onion, diced
- 2 tbsp sea dulse
- 2 tbsp pumpkin seeds
- 1 tbsp miso paste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 olives
- 1 tbsp ashitaba
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder (or equivalent fresh root)
- ¼ tsp salt
Directions
- Peel the outer skin of the lemon, leaving the bioflavonoid-rich white pith and seeds intact.
- While blending all the ingredients, add pure spring water as needed to reach a thick, soupy consistency.
