Hi Kreg,
You continue to be one of my favorite teachers, and this s a great class, as usual.

However, this isn't the class in the picture - there are very few back bends in this class and no camel (like in the picture). Was there a mix-up?
Namaste, and thank you!

kregweiss, posted on July 8, 2016

thanks shawn63, yes, you are right - this is not the correct image and there is no camel pose in the video - hopefully the team will get a proper image reflective of this practice in place.

We're glad you enjoyed the class! Thank you for bringing that to our attention, we will look into the video.

I have been away from this for a while. Thanks for being the familiar and wonderful re-entry to practice. My mat and my studio where waiting for me to re-enter. what a wonderful thing! Looking forward to daily bliss.

...That is how I feel having done this practice, after a day of being anxious and "closed".
Thank you Kreg!
Look forward to your new videos (seems that it's been a while?)

wonderful to receive your warm feedback, Tata. always a tremendous feeling when we expand ourselves out of the grip of Ego and external tensions. hope to be able to offer more of these flows in the future. Namaste, Kreg

thanks for this practice. i enjoyed it, but given the name i thought there would be more backbending and that's why i chose it. i'd been wanting to work on correct form in backbends and given the description and name thought this practice would be good for that, but it wasn't.

kregweiss, posted on November 3, 2015

Thanks sdabrowski. I very much appreciate your comments. Being a lower level practice and as someone who personally finds classic, prone and supine backbends (i.e. bow pose / wheel pose) to be less receptive in my body, I wanted to offer a series of backbends in different manner. This approach was to meant to bring some technique and awareness in these 'alternative' backbends, so people who have a similar experience like me in backbending can still enjoy the overall benefits of opening the front lines of the body. Please feel welcome to share more of your comments and feedback any time. Kreg :)

A very therapeutic and unique flow. As usual! My front thighs and outer hips feel great.

Thank you so much Kreg for this wonderful practice! I loved the flow itself. The instruction was clear and easy to follow without having to look at the screen too much. The music enhanced my experience without distracting my mind from my inner focus. I am working on Chakrasana in my practice right now and did a search for back bends and found this video which was perfect preparation for it. I paused the video before Savasana & did my Chakrasana & inverted poses, then came back for the wonderful Savasana. I appreciated that this practice was only 31 minutes so I could have time to pause and do my own poses but also enjoy the focus and energy of practice led by a teacher. Really felt your presence, especially at the end. And to top it all of the setting was so spectacular with the green grass, gorgeous lake and mountain in the background. Many, many thanks! (I am loving myyogaonline!)

hi mrenkow ... the back arches in this flow are at a moderate level practice: locust variation / ballet with bow hold / low lunge / cobra / pigeon with foot variation ... I wanted to present this 'back arching' flow as an alternative way to extend the spine versus the more common back arching practices that include camel, bridge pose, etc

Hi Kreg,
I am glad, years later, that I finally read your comment, as I thought this practice a bit light on back bending and definitely not advanced.
I still enjoyed it and simply added some extra poses at the end.

mrenkow, posted on February 27, 2012

This class is labeled incorrectly. The entire class is centered around hip opening poses. There are no back bends at all. Regardless, I enjoyed this class!

this is my first post. I absolutely love this short practice. I enjoy the pace, sequencing and the way it meshes simple poses met with mindfulness and the somewhat challenging version of crow. I'm thrilled that I found you Kreg. Jai Bhagwan, Namaste Katherine

I Agree that this video is mislabeled and contains a few hip opening poses than back bending. It accomplishes enough in the time given.

mherzog, posted on November 20, 2010

Awesome. I had this in my favorites but hadn't done it in a while. The stretches were great, and Kreg's instructions are so helpful -- make me aware of deeply helpful parts of each position. It was also great to have accomplished so much in a relatively brief session.

Kreg's instructions/comments contain deep insights into both the physical and spiritual experience of our practice. He invokes within me feelings of deep calm, appreciation, and confidence. I just open myself up to his words, and it brings me joy and lasting happiness.

I really like this video, although I feel it's mislabeled as it seems to do a lot of hip-openers and virtually no back bends.

Excellent video. I like how Kreg always reminds us that yoga should be joyful. When transitioning into poses he often states to go into the pose with enjoyment or joy. I also like how he reminds us not to have egoes. Do what we can at our level.

vivant, posted on June 15, 2010

I appreciate all the balancing work that Kreg includes in his sessions. I also value the many variations Kreg mentions to keep the pose easiest or make it more challenging. I am slowly working my way through all of Kreg's videos and I enjoy each class in its own way.
