I have tried two of Rachel's Pilates workouts and want to do more.

Def going on my playlist. Really enjoyed this routine!

I used to do a lot of Pilates, and this practice, though I was looking forward to a dance fusion, reminded me why I quit doing Pilates. The bulk of the class just puts too much strain on my lower back. Thanks for the class--will be great for someone else, I'm sure :)

I canceled my gym membership to save money and am a new subscriber. I was pleasantly surprised to come across this video. This is the same routine my old gym used for the pilates class I used to do twice a week. I love this video! Very relaxing ,but gives you a good workout.

Nice video. Definitely a good stabilization challenge. It is a little slow for my pace, as I like a little more cardio, but still a nice video.

Perfect, love this video!

This was both relaxing and energizing...I loved it. I also really enjoyed the beautiful music!

This is the video that made me want to subscribe to this site. :) I love ballet and it was a nice workout. But for those who havent tried it yet, just to let you know, its not very cardio, and more than half of the video is floor exercises, which kind of disappointed me. Great workout all the same. I hope they put up more ballet workouts on here, even if isnt that related to yoga.

Well, I'd like to leave this comment for those who are looking for a 'workout' workout. This is extremely slow paced, with a lot of pausing after very little exercise. I got cold at some point, had to stop to put some more clothes on. Very very slow paced. The warm-up is the only time when your heartbeat is up. Nice stretches, I'm sure very effective, but you are just very slowly stretching for 50 minutes. Not a calorie buster, that's for sure.. Both ballet and Pilates are intense workouts so the name of the video is misleading.

A great workout! I feel stretched and energized!

I thoroughly enjoyed it. I have no negative comments because I need a ton of work in my core. I have used your video several times in the last few weeks and I make it possible to perform this class at once a week. Please let us know when you produce more videos. Thanks

Nice basic workout, but seemed a bit rushed with sometimes too few reps and quickly jumping onto the next thing along with not being synchronized to the video. Also instructions were sometimes a bit vague, and i am a lifetime Pilates, yoga teacher and dancer.

squirrelgirl100, posted on April 5, 2012

This was good, although a little bit too much stopping to rest after just a few reps. Enjoyed though!

I love the idea of this class but I was really frustrated with how far ahead the narrator was from the model. It made it really hard to keep up with the video. Also could use some more descriptive directions other than just "up and down".

I enjoyed this class. I wish some of the exercises had more reps, so I didn't have to look at the screen as often.

One of the more challenging pilates videos I\'ve come across, and I really like the inclusion of some ballet moves here. But many of the moves were done too quickly to really get the intended effect. This gave the video a nice aerobic component but at the cost of fully engaging the core. I\'d do it again, but only if I can figure out how to set my video player to play at half the speed.

(sorry about the blank post below)

ozellis, posted on March 24, 2010

I think this video is awesome, well presented and a wonderful challenge however some comments are correct in that it is for more experienced Pilates people and not for beginners. I truly look forward to more of this type of class, thank you Rachel for sharing your talent.

annacotton, posted on February 10, 2010

I loved this. I ride horses and struggle in the slower winter months to find something to help keep me in shape while staying flexible and loose. I understand the comment that some of the commentary is not synced with the moves but still well worth it. If you are not experienced maybe try it first lightly while knowing you will have to watch. Thanks, my body feels amazing!

Thank you Rachel for a beautiful session of release. I felt my body exhale. I found your session to be balanced in that it was alternately challenging, yet relaxing. I am very much looking forward to more of your sessions!

I\'m new to pilates but have really enjoyed doing this class. I haven\'t managed to get through a full session yet but i\'m working on it! more like this please!

badkitten, posted on January 6, 2010

This is a challenging class. Unfortunately, I also found it challenging to follow. The instructions are spoken quickly and at times do not sync with the moves.

eobyrne, posted on January 2, 2010

Nice idea, but I gave up on this video halfway through through sheer frustration. Very difficult to follow because the instructor doesn\'t explain much of what she is doing. When she moves into a classic exercise such as single leg stretch she doesn\'t say that is what she is doing so you have to keep watching all the time to figure it out and then perform the move - not very good for your alignment. Nor does she explain what muscle groups you should be working so you have no idea if you are doing it right or not. You can\'t tell by looking - her plank position got very un-plank-like (very bent at the hips) at one point and she didn\'t explain why, so I have no idea if she meant it to be so bent or she is just sloppy with her alignment! If you are very experienced with Pilates and just want someone to take you through a set of moves, its probably fine, but you have to watch it all through first which is dull. If you want to learn new exercises safely, I\'d suggest try something else.

Definitely saved to my practices to try and improve on the lesson. I see this practice helping prepare me for snowboarding this winter. Do you have any feedback on how often I should do this lesson?
