These conversations were interesting, but I would also like to hear from older women. I'm 55, healthy and strong, but not as strong as I used to be. A topic that I think is also interesting is the greying factor. I've recently decided to not cover the grey in my hair, as I have decided I'd like to show my age and be proud of the grey. Anyone else thinking about this?

Awesome! Thanks for opening this conversation on allowing ones hair to be the colour it is and even take a stand raising the flag of awareness with greying hair. I too am coming in to mid fifties and for sure am in that zone of feeling the love of certain aspects of aging, and ready to be just as I am. Greying hair like lines and creases can be seen as gorgeous.... but only if we GET TO SEE IT!!!! What worries me is that people are so used to seeing hair that has been coloured ( or faces that have filler ) that we simple become accustom to that as the norm. GO GREY! GO SILVER! and lets get on with a natural beauty. If you still love your hair colour ( and your hair stylist ) then enjoy it while you still do. One day it will seem natural to let that go in time and money spent elsewhere.

As a 67 year old woman which i am, I would have liked to hear more from the older woman about what its like to be an elder and how she came to terms with this as a woman in a "youth culture". What was difficult for her and what does she struggle with?

Hello Artist in Flight,

Thanks for your post and absolutely there will be more interviews ! I am not sure the schedule of posts, but I interviewed women from 16 to 72 years old, and hope all the responses will be posted. Alice has been my student for 20 years, and you can see her in the practice called "Perseverance". She is in her 70's and hopefully they will post our interview next.

How do you feel being an elder? How do you feel in a world that truly does feel like youth is the focus? What is your experience? WE WANT TO KNOW!!!

Thanks in advance for sharing with us.
Kate
