Bloodtime – Claiming the Territory brings to light the ironies embedded in a culture that seems simultaneously repelled by, yet drawn to, images of blood in television shows, movies and video games. Archival segments, still images and live-action footage interweave with commentaries that evolve an appreciation for these contradictions. Women pay homage to their blood, identifying their own associations with and attitudes toward blood, noting where they are on the life-cycle continuum, bringing the very subject into the light, and suggesting that an embrace of the feminine is the needed return to wholeness

definitely a film for MORE women to watch.... we have grown up hearing about how "nasty" our periods are.... from other women, just repeating what they too have been told, and from society, from the lack of "honoring" and "respect" it's very refreshing to see these women sharing and talking about it as Ones that can remind us to REMEMBER OUR BEAUTY In Being a Woman and getting to experience ALL of our Femininity.... I know other women who did not menustrate because of their bodies, and wished they could......this series reminds me --We are the Ones who can bring back the Place of Our Cycles being Honored and Revered once again.....
definitely going to be mentioning this series to my lady friends!
