The Burning Times – Part Two – is a beautifully crafted film and an in-depth look at the witch-hunts that swept through Europe just a few hundred years ago. False accusations and trials led to massive torture and burnings at the stake, and ultimately to the destruction of an organic way of life. The film advances the theory that widespread violence against women and the neglect of our environment today can be traced back to those times.

I love what this was able to portray and share. I wish the other two parts of this series were available on here, but that won't stop me from tracking them down to see them! Also, if anybody knows of any films that address native traditions similar to these but of the Americas (North and South) or elsewhere that were not nearly wiped out by the church, please share that info! This does a great job of addressing its subject matter, but there is a masculine component to the Goddess spiritualities that isn't even hinted at here. Both sides were lost to the church for many years in these atrocities.
