Islanders: Chiloé, Chile (2009)
Located in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Chile, north of Patagonia, Chiloé is one of Chile’s largest islands.
Isolated from the mainland by water and its distinct geographical features, Chiloé retains its own culture. The legends that are still part of daily life on the island tell of ghost ships and sea monsters. The weather is unpredictable, bathing the island with a sublime light that is reminiscent of Ireland.
