Join us for this very special opportunity to practice yoga amongst inspiring artworks! This workshop is offered in partnership with the Contemporary Art Gallery as they present the first solo exhibition in North America of the work of Chinese artist Guo Fengyi. Guo Fengyi's work explores myth, wisdom and the energy-body, a rich setting in which to practice the ancient art of yoga, with one of Vancouver's favourite teachers - Christine Price Clark.

Through a dynamic practice of hip openers, arm balancings and backbends, explore the sacred intimacy of your inner life and your outer experience. During this playful practice, we will unearth the generative capacity of your human form - literally your energy body’s potential to manifest unlimited, creative expression. Refine the ways in which you engage both your energy and physical bodies (muscles and bones), to become who you have it IN YOU to be. Expect a full-spectrum practice for all levels, embraced by the presence of good company and exquisite artwork.

This is a really great class. One of the most striking things about Christine is that she has a certain joy about her that she infuses the class with. Being in the receiving, meditative state that any yoga routine puts you into pretty fast, before you know, this joyful attitude becomes a part of you too. Thoroughly enjoyable routine. I am not sure whether this is an intermediate level class(more like all levels), but most yogis who are at intermediate level or beyond, are aware enough not to judge the "level" of any yoga practice. You can go as deep as you want even in the simplest of poses. Highly recommended when you have a leisurely couple of hours to bliss out.
