Open Minds: Conscious Men with Arjuna Ardagh (August 2016)

Season 6, Episode 38
Available worldwide

The qualities of masculinity continue to be a mystery because men receive many conflicting messages about what it means to be a man. Arjuna Ardagh addresses these concerns by helping men go deeper within themselves and discover the qualities of conscious masculinity. This includes gaining a better understanding of the masculine psyche and biology in order to free themselves from conditioning, enabling them to make conscious choices for behaviors instead of base reactions. This interview with Regina Meredith was originally webcast August 18, 2016.

Arjuna Ardagh is an Awakening Coach, writer and public speaker who has trained more than 1,700 people to become facilitators of awakening. He is the author of nine books, including, The Translucent Revolution, featured in “O” magazine. Arjuna’s newest book is Conscious Men, co-authored with John Gray. He has been a speaker at conferences worldwide, including a recent talk at the United Nations.

i feel that as a species we are going towards androgyny - the merge of male and female. That is the future. For now we have chosen to learn through polarity - male and female. We all have female and male energies inside us. i think that this conversation is needed right now and resonated with a lot of truth. To heal the relationship between men and women is crucial as we enter into the Aquarian Age.

I learned some things from this show. Nice to see the other perspective.
Thank you!

How do queer, gender non-conforming, non-binary or trans-gender identified humans fit into this conversation?

michaelneutrino, posted on August 26, 2016

Good point - thanks for bringing this up ! In my opinion Transgender humans are the bridge between male and female - they are the future evolution of humanity as we are moving towards a more androgynous species. Most souls have chosen to learn through polarity incarnating into a male or female form. i think transgendered people have a lot to teach the rest of humanity about the merging of these energies. You brought up the question which means you have an answer. What do you think?

Do you folks at Gaia get a lot of people saying they have connection problems with your site? Because this is the only one that every time I watch something, it freezes over and over again. Is there anything I can do?

I appreciate this dialogue and I've purchased the book.

This particular topic didn't really appeal to me, but I watched it anyway, because I typically like the interviews, and since I had never really thought about the things that motivate men for one, it was informative, and it was a good thing i decided to watch this one. It's something for me to think about.

Russell Brand's name came up very briefly in the interview, and I thought it would be awesome if he was interviewed on this show so I felt compelled to comment. When Russell Brand first came into the spotlight as an entertainer, I didn't quite get it, but then I started to appreciate it. I liked his stand-up routine when he talked about his VMA experience for starters. (the stand-up routine that was done around 2009 or so). The movies he did were ok, but I really liked his stand-up routines. Messiah Complex was the best. As much as I liked his stand-up, I'm more impressed with the things he is doing now in the public eye.. He is on a spiritual path, and he talks about that, and it seems more genuine than ego driven. It's hard to believe that he once had such a serious drug problem . The fact that he is finding a way through it is inspirational, and he is trying to help others too. I know that he was on a Gaiam show at one point (Daniel Pinchbeck), and maybe he could come back on this show, or some other, any show I guess. I'd watch it anyway.

I would love to see an interview with Russell, it will be interesting to see how fatherhood changes him too

I want to second the motion. Yes, please I hope Regina does an interview with Russell Brand. He's lucid but not in an ordinary way. Maybe it's his rebelliousness and the edginess that came through in the Daniel Pinchbeck program. He seems to have a very powerful voice.

Men will always want women to orgasm first. This is not new and far from enlightened.
