warm thanks porous vision, glad you enjoyed this 'vintage' practice - still practice and teach with this same approach today

Have to thank you and celebrate! I've done yoga with you for many years (and prior)...but had to virtually give it up over the past year because of a very bad hip. 8 weeks ago today, I had a total (anterior) hip replacement. This was my first yoga since...and in many months and I was able to do all of it ( form wasn't very good particularly on the left weighted warrior!) Still, I was able to do it and it felt so very wonderful! Thank you for this practice...and to anyone facing hip'll be better before you know!

So great to hear of your return to yoga, DW_2. Hope you enjoy a speedy recovery with your hip. Kreg :)

As seems to be happening quite regularly since the move from MyYoga to GaiamTV, the streaming quality is poor and occasionally freezes mid practice. Please spend some more money on your server bandwidth. Many thanks

thank you @WendyMarie and @Avinja ... very happy to hear you enjoyed this older hatha practice

Avinja_2, posted on August 8, 2014

Thank you. Wonderful class. It`s organic, not one of the mechanic fitness studio yoga classes. Nice voice. Nice music. Feel very well after it.

I had been away from yoga for a few months ...due to my schedule and new workout routine. This was my first practice and it was wonderful. During the practice I realized that I need to focus on gentle yoga styles to counterbalance my stressful work and life demands. I also need to practice certain poses after work to help build correct postures. Thanks, Kreg for your practice that opened me to have profound awareness.

This practice a great way to improve core strength and awareness without involving a lot of plank poses. It is a valuable class for those with wrist issues such as myself.

Thank you - beautiful practice. Your commentary was well timed and thorough -- without being overwhelming or intrusive.

Jennigin, posted on April 22, 2012

Thank you Kreg. I really appreciated the way you explained your movement, it was a rather lovely beginner Hatha class that I could use to get my beginning boyfriend moving with me on Sunday morning. But as the slightly more intermediate student, I could appreciate that you didn't just repeat the same moves, and you showed modifications for difficulty. Namaste.

hi wildcrafterin,
in general, 'pain' is not something one should experience in yoga. if the pain is consistent and persists, i would recommend seeing a physical therapist to insure no musculoskeletal issues exist. this 'pain' could be related to a variety issues: excessive toe gripping while you balance, foot misalignment, nerve compression, joint compression, etc. let us know if you receive any specific medical feedback and we will be happy to help with modifications.

Is it usual to feel a sharp, warm pain in the ankles and shins with twisting stork? I am keeping my knees fluid but am not feeling any stretch or warmth in my muscles, only pain in the shin and ankle.

mrenkow, posted on February 1, 2012

This class moves slowly and provides a good stretch. Good balance is required in order to do the poses with integrity.

kregweiss, posted on January 9, 2012

Thanks Lynn ... you have any issues with certain poses in this or any other practice, please let us know ... we would be happy to help with offering modifications of key poses to assist your recovery.

Enjoyed this video. Began yoga last summer via much encouragement from my daughter who is currently beginning yoga teaching. Yoga is primary rehab for me after MVA in Aug 2010 resulting in spinal cord injury. A big thank you.

Really enjoyed it. Thanks for bringing my HR up but still making it a beginner video. I have SO much to learn. Appreciate your focus on kinesiology and anatomy.
