The Exorcist in the 21st Century (2012)

Only available in Canada, United States

The rite of exorcism is gaining prominence in the 21st century. To better understand this phenomenon, we delve into the largely unknown world of exorcism in the Catholic Church. One of the few Vatican approved exorcists in Europe is José Antonio Fortea. We follow along with him as he travels around the world on his mission to enlighten the masses about demonic possession.

Along the way we meet a Columbian woman who claims to have been possessed for nearly 15 years. She is desperately seeking help from Fr. Fortea to liberate her from her spiritual burdens. To gain even deeper insight we talk with the Vatican’s official exorcist, Gabriele Amorth as well as priests who have participated in exorcisms.

Join us on a journey few have dared to experience.

This is a beautifully made film about a difficult topic. I am willing to contemplate almost anything that will help me see more clearly. Purity and Holiness share the same space or realm with evil or darkness. This film was a little scary to me...but really worth seeing if you are curious about the strength of faith.

This is a very helpful film and it is necessary to warn today's non believers that they should be careful of cults and evil thoughts and actions as this can be attracted. Try to keep your spirits up, have faith in God, Jesus, the saints and angels. Call on them daily to guide and protect you. Hatred is fuel for them. There is a tendency to deny the existence of evil or demonic forces. This can be dangerous if indeed they do exist. Many young people today experiment with Ouija boards, and other occult practices believing evil doesn't exist....thinking it to be a game. Do be careful. Meditation on the God within you is one way to seek God and raise your vibrations beyond their grasp. Jesus meditated and communed with the God within him....becoming one. The film was well presented. I am glad to know these priests exist as a countermeasure. God bless them.
