Flame Away

The immune system often responds to threats by creating inflammation in the body. Inflammation can be caused by too many processed foods in our diet. Over time, chronic or excessive inflammation can lead to disease.

The ingredients in this tea are excellent for soothing an over- responsive immune reaction and helping the body operate at a more optimal level. One sign of inflammation is edema, or excess fluid in the body.

Serves: 2-3

Why it's so good for you:

Burdock root has a diuretic effect to reduce fluid, and also encourages lower levels of bacterial growth.

Shilajit is one of the most powerful anti-aging and antioxidant substances known. Anti-inflammatory properties are one of the many benefits of shilajit, which is also known to improve blood, kidney function, and sexual potency. In research, mucuna pruriens has been shown to demonstrate diuretic, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial activities.

Boswellia, which comes from the frankincense tree, is traditionally used in the Ayurvedic system of medicine to treat pain and inflammation.
