The Fools on the Hill (2011)

Available worldwide

In this modern day David vs. Goliath story about political ethics and legislative incompetence, filmmaker Jed Rigney follows Jerrol LeBaron as he sets out on a journey to make our politicians do the jobs they were hired to do. He wants to require them to actually read the bills they are passing – which, strangely enough, is not currently required anywhere in the U.S.

Faced with out-of-touch politicians and a broken political process, can one man really make a difference?

As one who doesn't participate in politics on any level, mainly because of things like this....not reading a f&%#ing bill that will become a law and in turn effect millions!! Really?! Smh. We gotta do better. The processes have been made to appear difficult so that citizens who truly desire to make a difference will become discouraged and give up out of feeling helpless. We cannot afford to do this. I am inspired by this one man's efforts and plan to take an even more active approach toward changing this foolery taking place on "the hill". It is ludicrous!

Very informative but I think that some of the topics discuss were a little bias on one side. It wasn't very objective at time. It also doesn't tell people how simple it is to get involve at the local level. You can actually attend most council meetings that they hold once a month and most towns and cities post their meetings. Get Involved, because everything a politician votes on will effect you.
